A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
THAT PETITIOP7 FOR VARIANCE N0. 1997 gE APPROVED
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified Petition for Variance from

situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described in Exhibit
A" attached hereto and referred to herein as though set forth in full

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Aneheim on
July 15~ j96$ at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public heating hevin been dul
law end in accordcu~ca with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.68, to hear and cons der ev dence for
and against said proposed variance and to investigete end meke finding's and recommendetions in connection therewith;
and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself and in its behalf,
and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered as said hearing, does find and determine the following
fects:
1. That the petitioner requests a variance from the Anaheim Municipal Code as .follows~ to permit the
continued.proeessing of water for sale as an agricultural liquid.
SECTION I8.16.030 - Permitted uses in an R-A Zone.
2 That the existing opesation was f.ormerly an experimental one, however, it has now
expanded into a full time operation, and should be confined to an area more rural in nature
or within buildings in an industrial zone, therefore, the Planning Commission grants a period
of six.months in which tc relocate the existing operation.
3. That the petitioner stipulated that the operation would be relocated as soon as
adequate facilities were found and a permit to establish it in the new location was granted.
4. That the existing operation, because of a form of chemical f ermentation of water and
the.processing and storage of the water in large metal drums, numerous complaints have been
r eceived from adjoining property owners relative to the obnoxious odars and noises.
5. T.hat due to the fact that the Commission has set a time limitation of six months
for the extension of the.existing operation, the recommended conditions of approval are waived.
6. That one letter, and a petition signed by 31 residents of a nearby mobile home park,
were received in opposition.
