PC68-229 A RESOLUTION OF TH~ CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM F.EOOMMENDING TO THE CITY ~UNCIL OF THE CII'Y OF ANAHEIM THAT GENERAL PLAN AM~NDA7HNT N0. 104 BE DISAPPROViED WHFREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt a Genexal Plan by Resolution No. 63R-869f showing the general description and extent of land uses within the City and indicating the present belief of the Council as to possible future development and redevelopment of land within the City; and WHERHAS~ the City Planning ~ommission of the City of Anaheim did initiate a verified Petition for Reclassification No. 68-69-2~ which petition has implica- tions on policies as expressed on said General Plan; and WHEREAS, in addition to the notice of the hearing on said reclassification, notice was also given regarding the consideration of an amendment to the General Plan in the general location and vicinity of subject property of said reclassif i- cation; and WHERBAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on July 29, 1968 at 2:00 o'clock P.M.~ notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and against said Amendment to the General Plan and said proposed Petition for Reclassification to investigate and make findings and recommendations in con- nection therewith; and WHFREAS, said Commission after due inspection, investigation~ and study made by itself and in its behalf and aft er due consideration of all evidence and re- ports offered at said hearing, ~ES HF1tEHY FIND 1. That the pxoperties under consideration were designated in "A Study of the Proble~n of Residential Homes Fronting on Arterial Highways'-' adopted by the 'P] anning Commis~sion and the City Council ;as ki~eing appropriate for conver~ion'.to comme'rcial-professional land use. 2. That the present general description and extent of land uses in the aforementioned ar ea adequately represents past and current City policies r egarding possible future development of said general area described as: bounded on the north by Savoy Avenue; on the east by State College Boulevard; on the south by South Street; and on the west by Dover Street. 3. That no evidence was presented at said hearing which would justify the City Planning Commission recommending a change in the above-mentioned policies to the ~ity Council. 4. That Exhibit "A" of General Plan Amendment No. 104 does not constitute an acceptable alternative to current policies as illustrated on the Gen- eral Plan. 5. That three persons appeared representing twelve persons present in the Council Chamber and a petition signed by sixty-seven persons was re- ceived all in opposition; and that one lettes of approval was received.
