WHEREqS, at the time the R-E, Residential Estates, Zone was adopted consideration

for adequate protection from fires was only required where structures were served with
an accessway, and where structures fronted on a dedicated street no provision was made;

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing in the City Hall in

~ the City of Anaheim on August 26, 1968, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., notice of said public hear3ng ~
; having been duly given as required by law and in accorance with the provisions of the j~

Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and against the proposed amend- j
_ ment and to investigate and make findings and recommendations ;n connection therewith; arid
W~~AS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study made by ~
_ itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports off ered 1,.
at said hearing, does find and determine that Section 18.18.030, Subsection (7) (d) should j
be deleted since it does not encompass all properties within the R-E, Zone; and that ~
Subsection (9) should be added.

+. NOW, THER$FORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Planning Commission does hereby re- ~
' commend to the City Council of the City of Anaheim the adoption of an amendment to the
~ Anaheim Municipal Code, Title 18, Chapter 18.18 by the deletion of subsection (7) (d) ~
of Section 18.18.030, and the addition of Subsection (9) attached hereto and ref erred '~ ~
'} herein as though set forth in full.
