amendmer.t to the General Plan at the present time, however, its relationshio to the General
Plan will be considered at the next annual r~view.
3. That the proposed rec:assification of subject property is not necessary and/or
_ desirabl= for the orderiy and proper dev2lopment of the community.
` 4. That subject oroperty was considered for its potential conversion from residential
-' uses to commercial uses in the recently adopted study of "Residential Homes Fronting on
Arterial Streets", and it was determined in this study that these parceis would be more
appropriate for rztantior. for residential uses.
5. ihat the proposed reclassi:ication and use of the oroperty would be one of the
heaviest commercial uses permitted in the requested zone and would have a deleterious
effect on the residential integrity of the area, no matter how carefully the proposed
development is planned, designed, and screened from the adjoining residential uses.
6. Thai three persons appeared representing 15 p~ sons present 1n the Council Chamber,
and a petition signed by 23o persons was r=ceived all in opposition to the subject petition.
