2. That the proposed use will adversely aff ect the adjoining land uses and the
growth and development of the area in which it is proposed to be located.
3..That the size and shape of the site proposed for the use is not adequate to
allow the full development of the proposed use in a manner not detrimental to the
particular area nor to the peace, health, safety, and general welfare of the Citizens
of the City of Anahedm.
4. That the petitioner indicated he desired to maintain the residential appearance
of the property, which in itself would be recognizing the fact that the use was not an „
appropriate use of subject property which is su•rrounded on three sides by single family
homes and across Walnut Street from the existing school.
5. That the residential cPiaracter of the neighborhood should be retained by not
permitting the additional encroachment of a more ir.tense use of the land, since this
could set an undesirable precedent for the continuing expansion of the school.
6. That the location of the existing school adjacent to the public school is
less objectionable; however, the expansion across an arterial street could present a
pedestrian and vehicular traffic problem during certain periods of the day when auto-
mobiles would be arriving or leaving to drop-off and pick-up the additional 50~60 students
proposed for the school exoansion.
