WHEREAS ohe City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing et the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
i, February 14~ ~,68~ at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of seid public hearing heving been duly givrn as required by
lew and in accrordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18,68, to hear and consider evidence for
.i and against said proposed variance and to investigate and meke findings and recommendations in connection therewith;

i 1. That the petitioner requests a variance from the Anaheim Municipal Codq as :`ol lows~ to oermit exis*ing

oroperty is adequate, and the existing signs act as a hazard to passing traf:ic as well as
~ creating an unoesirable appearance along the 635-foot frontage of the adjacent street.
I 3. That due to the nature of the sign and its location vrhere no sidewalks zre construct~-d
and little or not oedestrian traffic will occur, the location of not less than tne minimum
' R-feet from the ground is deemed unnecessary, and isthereby waived, because no oublic hazard
would occur.
4. That a single sign a maximum o: 20 square feet may be erected within tne oermitted
i 25-foot height, said sign to be located no less than zooroximately 20 feet from the intersection
i,; of Cerritos Avenue and Euclid Street.
5. That the requested variance, as aporoved, is necessary for the oreservation and enjoy-
ment of a substantial property right oossessed by other oroperty in the same vicinity and
zone, and denied to the prooerty in question.
• o. That the Sign Ordinance adequately provides for the-signing of subject prooerty, there-
F~ fore, the sign must be located to the rear of the right-of-way line of Huclid Avenue.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Aneheim City Planning Commission does hereby grant/subject
Petition for Varience, upon the following conditions which are hereby found to be a necessary prerequisite to the pro-
posed use of the subject property in order to preserve the safety and general welfare of the Citizens ofthe City of
Anaheim:
1. That a single sign a maximum of 20 square feet may be erected within the permitted
25-foot height and may be located less than the minimum 8-f eet from the ground, said sign shall
be located not less than approximately 20 feet from the intersection of Cerritos Avenue and
Euclid Street.
