PC69-227 _.~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING ~MMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM RECOMMEP'DING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AIdAHEIM T~ ADOPTION OF AREA DEVELOPMENT PLAN N0. 104 - PROVIDING A PLAN FOR LOCAL CIRCULATiON IN THE SOUTHEAST INDUSTRIAL AREA BEIWEEN BALL ROAD ON THE NORTH ~vD CERRIT0.S AVENUE ON THE SOUTH THERETO ~ WHEREAS, properties on the east si.de of the Southern Pacific Railro~ad south of Ball Road are presently being proposed to be developed and some form of circulation is needed in the area boundeo by Ball Road on the north; Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad on the east; Cerritos Avenue on the south and the Southern Pacific Railroad on the west; and ~ t;~. WHEREAS, the City Planning Gommission did hold a public hearing at the City liall in '''~5 ' the City of Anar.~im on November 3, 1969, at 2:00 0'clock P.M., netice of said public -~; hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provisions ,{ of the Anaheim A9unicipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and against said proposed ' area development plan and to i~vestigate and make findings and recommendations in connection ;~ therewith; and , WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, im~estigation, and study made by itself and in its behalf, and after due conside*ation of all,evidence and reports offered at said hear~ug, does find and determine the following facts:' 1. Examination of the study area and traffic projections, bzsed upon anticipated future industrial users, indicate the need for a street from Ball Road to Cer:itos Avanue in thia area. 2. ~Ihat if local r,irculation is provided tnen local traffic will not have to be routed onto the ar~erials to gain access to other areas w=thin the study area. 3. That the initial step to provide a 1oca1 circulation system in this area was accompJ.ished when Allec Stre~t was extended northerly from Cerritos Avenue. ; 4. That additional indust.rial development is already planned on the parcels south of Ball Road immediately east of the Southern Pacific Railroad and Y'' on the parcel lying easterly of the northerly extension of Al1ec Street, _ and PortionsA and C, as depicted on Exhibit "A" of the local street system i are proposed to be constructed in connection with the develoFment of these i parcels. 5. That the property owner through which Porticn "B" will be projected has no precise development pl.ans, therefure, said portion should not have its precise alignment established in order to aliow more f?exibility to the owner at the ~ time of development. ~j = 1 `~ , `;~~~1 J I , t 1~.:. ~ .."' ~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Planning Commission o: the City of Anaheim does hereby recommend to the City Council the adootion of Area Development Plan No. 104, as being a logical circulation pattern for local +.x'~ffic for properties which may be developing now and in the future in this portion of the southeast industrial area, as depicted on Exhibit "A". BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that no precise alignment be established for Portion "B" of Exhibit "`A" in order that more flexioility may be afforded the owner of the property when the property is to be developed.
