Thet the petitioner requests e varience from the Anaheiin Municipel Code, as follov,~s, to permit the erection of a 57--foot high double-faced free-standing sign projecting up ar.d through the canopy :oofline of subject property: S EC'tION 18.62.090(B-2) - Maximum heiqht of a free-stanciinq sian within 300 feet of residential uses. (25 feet permitted; 57 feet proposed)~ 2. That the petitioners demanstrated the existence of a hardship as far as identificatior. of the !~se with the existing signing is concerned. 3. That the request for a 57-foot liigh sigri is hereby denied on the basis that the applicant indicated that a sign 50 feet in he~ght would be adequate to advertise subject property; therefore, under the authority of Section 18.68.C'S0, the Planning Commission hereby grants waiver of the required 25-foot high free-standing sign to erect a sign 50-feet high. 4. Th:,t there are exceptional or extraordinary circumstances or conditions applicable to the property involved or to the intended use of the prbperty that do not apply generally to the property or class of use in the same vicinity and zone. 5. That the requested variance is necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of a substantial property right possessed by other property in the same vicinity and zone, and denied to the property in question. 6. That subject property shall be developed substantially in accordance with pla~s and specifications on file with the City Of Anaheim marked Exhibit Nos. 1 and 2, provided, however, that all portions of the sign shall only be a maximum of 50 feet in height. i ~f :Cn~ i~`~ Y: r.
