PC70-125 ~ ~~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT PETITION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 1190 gE DENIED WHEREAS, the Cit~~ n~anning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified Petition for Con- ditional Use Permit fn~.,, R, C. JEWE1'T COMPANY, 1150 East Elm Street, Fullerton, California 92631, Owner; HILLCREST TRINITY CHURCH, % ALFRED S. FOX, PASTOR, P. 0. Box 96, Fullerton, California 92632, Agent of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as Lot No, 9 of Tract No. 6383. ; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public heating at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on July 13, 1970~ at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public hearin havin been dul as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal code, Chapger 18.64, to hear and consider evidence for and against seid proposed conditionel use and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection thecewith; and WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself and in its be- half, end after due consideration of all evidence ond reports offered at said hearing, does find and determine the following facts: 1. That the proposed use is properly one for which a Conditionel Use Permit is authorized by Code : Section ].8.64.020, to wit: establish a church and related facilities in an existing building, with waiver of: S ECTION 18.04 030(b-13) - Minimum required parkinq spaces. (26 spaces re- quired; 12 spaces proposed). 2. Tha± the proposed use would not be compatible with the existing industrial uses established in the general area surrounding subject property. 3. That the industrial uses in this area should be entitled to the protection from incompatible uses and from potential complaints from non-industrial uses. 4. That churches are more logically established in non-industrial areas. ~~~~~~ 5. That the proposed parking would be inadequate to serve the needs of a congregation projected to have ?_OC members. 6. That the proposed use will adversely affect the adjoining land uses and the growth and development of the area in which it is proposed to be located. 7. That the size and shape of the site proposed for the use is not adequate to allow the full development of the proposed use in a manneiā€¢ not detrimental to the particular area nor to the peace, health, safety, and general welfare of the Citizens of the City of Anaheim. 8. That the granting of the corditional use permit will be detrimental to the peace, health, safety and general welfare of the Citizens of the City of Anaheim. CI-D -1- ~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Aneheim City Plenning Commission does hereby deny subject Pe~ition for Conditionel Use Permit on the basis of the eforementioned findings.
