RESOLUTION NO. 71 R- 24
A RESOLU'l'ION OF THE CITY .COUNCIL OP THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE CI'TY CLE1UC TO
DESTROY ORIGINALS OF CERTAIN RECORDS IN THE
POSSESSION OF THE CITY CLERK.
WHEREAS, .the Government Code of the State. of California
authorizes. the desCruction of certain records of the City upon
approval of the .leqislati.ve body of the 'city, and wi1:h the written
consent of the City Attorney, provided that said records do not
fall wi.thin certain specified categories; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reques1:ed.the authority
to destroy certain records in accordance with .s.ection 3409.0 and
34090..5 of the Government Code of 'the State of California; and
WHEREAS, said files are voluminous and occupy much
needed space and in the opinion of the City Clerk's Office no
lo~ger serve a public need; and
WHEREAS, .'the City At'to.rney of the City of Anaheim does
hereby give his wr.itten conse'nt .for the destruction of the follow-
ing records:
Completed public improvement contracts from the years
1960 through 1965 for street improvements., storm 'drains,
sewer improvements, traffic signals, and safety 1ightinq,
water mains, water vaults, weed abatement., buildings and
other improvements, as follows: .
Project No. 96 to Project No. 155, both inclusive
Job No. 300 t.o Job No. 1307, both inclusive
Job No. 4807 to Job No. 50l6B, both inclusive
Work Order No. 1718 to Work Order 6007, both inclusive
Work Order No. 419-8.0 - 1964 (weeds)
Work Order No. 419-297 - 1965 (Weeds)
Weed Abatement - 1958 contract.
Duplicates of copies of applications for liquor licenses
be.fore th.e Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, .including
police reports. and correspondence relating to. Council
act.ion, for years 1963 to 1965, inclusive (Ci.ty Clerk's
File: CA 103).
Certificates of Insurance and copies of Dep.osito.r' s Trust
Fund receipts for fireworks stands, filed by various
organizations and individuals prior to issuance of seasonal
pe~its for years 1960 to 1965, inclusive (City Clerk's
File: ADM: FireworkS).
Certificates of Insurance for Christmas Tree Sales Lots
filed by various organizations and individuals prior to.
issuance of seasonal pe~its for years 1962 to: 1965,
inclusive (City Clerk's File: ADM: Christmas Tree Sales
Lots).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Co~cil of
the City of Anahe.im does authorize the City Clerk, wi.th 'written
consent of the City Attorney, to destroy the. following described
records:

AND BE IT FURTHER RES.OLVED that the proper off.icia1
of the City having custody of the above-designa~ed records shall
cause said records to be destroyed in a lawful manner: and
BE IT FURTHER' RESOLVED that upon des.truction of 'the
foregoing records, a certificate of destruction shall be. executed
and the original thereof filed in the Office of the City Clerk,
1;oge'l:her with a copy of thi.s resolution.
THE FOREGOING RES'OLUTION is approved and s~qned by me
