A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMhtIS5I0N OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
THAT PETITION FOR VARIANCE NO. 2167 BE GRANTED
WHEREAS, said Commissinn, efter due inspection, investigetion, and study made by itselF and in its behalf,
'-and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hesring, does find and determine the following

facts:
" 1. That the petitioner requests a varience [rom the Anaheim Municipal Code as follows, to erect an
additional free-standing sign on subject property:

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim
on April 6~ 1970~ at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public hearing having 5een duly given es cequired
by law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.68, to hear and consider
evidence for and against said proposed variance and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connrc-
tion therewith; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified Petition for Varience
LAMPORT CORPORATION , dba GRAtJD HOTEL, 1 Hotel Way, Anaheim, California 92802, Owner;
HEATH AND COMPANY. 3225 Lacy Street, Los Angeles, California 90031, Agent of certain real
pro~erty situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, descr~LSed
as being all that certain pOrtion of iand of Lot 20 of Tract No. 190, as shown on Miscel-
laneous Maps, Book 23 Page 50 said.land also shown on Record of Survey Book 38, Page 16,
Records of Orange County. Beginning at the center of Section 22, Tewnship 4 South, Range
10 West, said section also being the intersection of the centerlinesof Cerritos Avenue and
Harbor Boulevard; thence South 0~ 13' 22" East along the center line of liarbox~ Boulevard
639.50 feet to a point; thence North 89~ 57' 08" East 660.75 feet to tl~e true point of
beginning; thence North 89° 57' 08" East 560.00 feet to a point; thience Soutl~ 0~ 13' 1?."
East 505.45 feet to a point; thence South 89° 56' 51" VJest 560.00 feet to a point; thence
North 0~ 13' 12" West 505.50 feet to a tr.ue point of beginning. Except any portion thereof
lying southerly of the north line of the South 175.00 feet of said Lot 20.

2. That there are exceptionnl or extraordinary circumstances or conditions applicable to the property involved
or to the intended use of the property that do not apply generelly to the property or class of use in the same vicinity
and zone.
3. That the requested variance is necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of a substantial property right
possessed by other property in the same vicinity and zone, and denied to the property in question.
4. That the requested variance will not be materially detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to the prop-
erty or improvements in such vicinity and zone in which the property is located.
5. That the proposed sign was primarily a directional =_ign which would not be seen
from adjoining properties, anr~ would therefore, not cxeate an intrusion to said properties.

Petition for Variance, upon the following conditions which are hereby found to be a necessary prerequisite to the pro-
