WHEREAS, the City Pla~nfng Commisslon did hold a public hearing at the City Hali 9n the City of Anaheim
on Aug . 2 3, 19 71 , at 2:00 o'clock P.M. notice of seid public hearing having been duly given es required by
l~w and in eccordence with the provisions of the Anahelm Municipel Code, Chapter 18.72, to h:ar end c~nsider
evidence for and agdinst soid proposed reclassification and to investigate end make findings and recommendetions
in connection therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, efter due inspection, investigation, end study made by itself and in its be-
half, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered et seid hearing, does find end determine the
following fects:
1, That the petitioner proposes a reclassification of the ebove described property from the
R-1~ One Family Residential, Zone to the C-1, General Commercial, Zonea
2a That the proposed r~classification is not in conformance with the Anaheim
General Plan of Land Uses,
3, That the proposed reclsssification of subject property is not necessary
and/or desirable for the orderly and propar development of the community,
4o That the proposed reclassification of subject property does not properly
relate to the zones and their permitted uses locally established in close proximity
to subject property and to the zones and their permitted uses ge~erally established
throughaut tha communitye

zone would bc a mistake and would be detrimental to the R-1 properties to the east9
6o That one of the cirive~vays the applicant proposes to use fronts on Rome
Avenue which i~ a residential street,
7, ~That the "Study of the Problems of Residential Homes Fronting on Arterial
Highways did not ec~nsider this property as being appropriate for commercial
conversion.

NOW, THEREFOR~, $E IT RGSOLVED that the Anahein~ City Planning Commtssion does I,ereby recommend
to the City Council of the City of Anaheim that subJect Petition for Reclassification be denied on the basis of the
aforementtoned flndings.
