That the petitioner reauests a varience from the Anaheim Municipal Code; a. SECTION 18.62.090(b-?.j - Minimum height of a free-standin~ sign. (8 feet required; 0 feet proposed). b. SECTION 18.62.090(B-5) - Permitted location of a free-standing sign. (The sign is proposed 74 feet from a property line; 8E feet is required). 2. That waiv~r 1-a, above mentioned, is hereby granted on the basis thar the Commission recognizes that some contemporary l•echniques should be permitted in certain instances to allow for a sign having less than ar. 8 foot ground clearance. 3. That waiver 1-b, above menrioned, is hereby granted on the basig thPt the proposed location of the sign would not be detrimental to the area and would not presenr a hazard to pedestrian tr.affic. 4. That there ere exceptional or extraordinary circumstances or conditions applicable to the property involved or to the intended use of the property that do not apply generally to the property or class of use in the same vicinity and zone. 5.
