WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of AnAheim did adopt a General PJ.an
~ by Resolution No. 69R-644, ahowing the general description and extent of land

,:~. uses within the City and indicating the preaent belief of. the Council. as to
~~ posaible future dEVelopment and redevelopment of land within the City and within
~ the scope o£ influence of the City of Anaheim; and
~~ WHEREAS, the City Councit of the City of Anaheim did initiate a verified
# Petition for. Reclassification No, 70-71-33 in anticipation af a development
k proposal covering the area in queation, and eaid development proposal has im-
;~~ plications on policies as expreased on said General P1An; and

WHEREAS, notice was given regarding the consideration of an amendment to

", i; City Hall in the City of Anaheim on February 22, 1971, at 2;00 o'clock P,M.

notice of sai.d public hearing having been duly given as required by law and
`;` in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and
, ~1;~ consi.der evidence for and against said proposed general plan amendment and

' to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith;

` WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investi„ation, and study
`~ i~t; m~de by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of All evidence

t and reports oEfered at said hearing, DOGS HEREBY FIND;
~~`; 1. That evidence was presPnted aC said hearing which ,justi£ies the
City Plsnning Commission's recommending to the City Council a
~ chanqe in the present general description and extent of land
uaes in the area described as follows: ~n area consisting of
r appraximately 4200 acres located generally south of Santa Ana
~ Canyon Road, east of the Newport Freeway, and extending easterly
beyond Mohler Drive to Weir Canyon and having a southerly boundary
~` approximately along the Santa Ana Mountains ridgeline.
2. That ExhibiCs pr2sented by the land developers encnmpassing property
~~ in General Plan Amendment No. 123 does constitute an acceptable
'; alternative to current policies as illustrated on the General Plan.
