WHEREAS, the City Planning Comminsion did hold a public hearing at tlie City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
April 5, 1971, et 2:00 o'clock I'.M., notice oE safd public hearing havin been dul
law and in accordance with the proviaions of the Anaheim Municipel Code, Chapter ~8.68, to hear end consider evidence for
and ngainst seid proposed variance and to inveatigate er.d meke findings end recummendetions in connection therewith;
and
WHEREAS, seid Commiasion, aEter due inspection, investigation, end study made by itself end in its behalf,
end efter due conaideretion of all evidence and reports offered at said heacing, does find and determine the follow~ng
fects:
1• That the petitiontr requests a variance from the Anaheim MunicIpal Code Sec t ions :
~a. SECTION 18.37.040(B-~) - Ma~eimum permitted free-standin~ sign hei~ht.
(27 Peet permi~ted; 51 Feet proposed.
b. SECTION 1$.37.040(E-3-a~_ - Maximum permitted si~n area. (220 square Feet
permitl-ed;_499_square feet proposed).
l. That the r.equested variaiice is nut necessary for Che preservalion and enjuyment ~I. a
substaritial property right possessed by other property in the same vicinity and zone, ~ncl
denied to the property in question.
3. 1'hal the existing non-conforming signs and exis~ing signs previously approved under
variance requests have become a blight upon tlie ares.
4. 'i:hat approval of this request would lead to similar requesls from adjoining properties
in the area as the signs on these properties would be blockeci by the proposed sign.
5. 'ii~at the narrow street frontage of tt~is parcel is a selF-created hardsliip in thar r.lle
balance of the frontage of this original parcel (now under separate owner.ship) Tiow enjoys
its own signing.

Petition for Veriance on the basis oE the aforementioned findings.
