A F.ESOLUTION OP THE CITY PLANNI'iVG COMMISSION OF THE CI4Y GF ANAHEIM RECOMMENDING TO THE
CITY COUNCI[. OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM TNAT THE ORANGE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
BE URGED TO NAME HIGH SCHOOL SITE N0. 4 ANAHEIM HILLS HZGH SCHOOL
WHEREAS, the Orange Unified School Di~trict now owns and is deveioping a high school
~`:e in the hills of Anaheim known as Site P7o. 4; and
G;HEREAS, Site No. 4 is located at the southeast corner of Santa Ana Canyon Road and
Imperi.al Y.ighway; and
WHEREAS, the Cily of Anah~im and the Orange Unified School District are cooperatively
undertaking the development of joint recreation and school facilities; and ~
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim to £urthe: its overall services to young citizens of
Anaheim and students of the school district is purchasing a 17'~~acre park site, which is
located immediately south of said liigh school and site; and
WNEREAS, a planned community of 6'~ square miles in area is being developed in the
i~mnediate area under the name of Anaheim Aills; and
WHEREAS, the names of schools should be descriptive of the locale; and
W~:EREAS, the City of Anaheim has developed a major recreational and golf facility
named Anaheim Hills Golf Course.
NOW, T}ILREFURE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim does aereby recoimnend to the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the Honorable
Board of the Orange Unified School District be urged to name the new high school known as
Site No.4, Anaheim Hills High School.
