A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNIf:G COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ACCEPTANCE OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMFACT REPORT N0. 9
WHEREAS, the California Public Resources Code requires that the
City of Anaheim prepare an Environme;ital Impact Statement identifying
and ar.alyzing in detail the significant environmental effects of
projects proposed to be constructed in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim, in
connection v~ith a petition for Reclassification No. 72-73-8 and Variance
No. 2403, has received Environmental Impact Report No. 9£rom the staff
of the City of Anaheim containing details for consideration of environ-
mental impacts as contained in Section 21100 of the Public Resources
Code; and
WHF,REAS, said Commission, after due investigation and study made
by itself and in its behalf, has reviewed the subject Environmental
Impact Report and analyzed in detail the significant environmental
effects of the proposal contained therein and does find and determine
the following facts:
1. That the service station proposed at the so•athwest corner of
Crescent Avenue and Brockhurst Street would have a detrimental
environmental impact on this area.
2. That the report submitted was deficient in that it clid not
provide alternatives for other uses for the service station
site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Planning Commission
of the City of Anaheim does hereby accept Environmental Impact Report
No. 9 and recommends to the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
said report not be adopted as the Environmental impact Statement of
the City Council until and unless the deficiencies outlined above have
been explored by the applicant and presented in written form to the
City Council for consideration prior to Council action on the zoning
request.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this ninth
day of November, 1972.
