PC72-271 A RESOLUTION OF THE CiTY PLANNING CC1MMiSSION OF THE CITY OF ANANEIM THAT PETITION FOR VARIANCE N0. 2444 BE GRANTED WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receivc a verified Petition (or Variance from SHELL OIL COMPAt~', Post Office Box 4090, Anaheim, California 92803, Owners of cer[ain :eal property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, des- ~ cribed as The Eaet 150.00 feet, measured from the tangent portion of the L•ast line of Lot 68 of Tract No. 2517 as per map recorded in book 133 pages 40, 41 and 42 oi Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the county recorder of said county ; end WHEREAS, tha City Plonning Commission did hold e public hearing et the City Hall in the City of Aneheim on October 30, 1972, et 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of suid public hesring having been duly given as required by lew end in accordance with the provisions ot the Anaheim idunicipel Code, Chepter 18.68,to hearend consider evidence tor end egainst seid proposed variance end to investigate end meke [indings and recommendniions in connec- tion therewlth; end WHEREAS, seid Cummissi~n, nfter due inspection, inve~tigetion, end study mude by itselE enu in its bahel[, and efter due consideration of all evidence and reports afEered al seid hearing, does find and detertnine the tollowing (acts: 1. Thet the petitioner requests variances from the Anaheim Municipal Code as follows: a. SECTION 18.62.090(B-1) - Maximum numher of free-standLnR s!.gna. ('1 permitted; 2 proposed) b. StiCTION 18.62.090(B-1) - Minimum distance between free-etending slgrs. (300 fe_et required; 69 feet proposed) c. ;~ECTION 18.62.090(B-5) - Location of free-standing signs. (50 feet from adjacent • property line prnYOaed; 54 feet required) 2. That the tequested variance will not be meterially detrimsntal to the public wel[ete or injurious to the prop- edy or improvements in such vicinity and xone in which tfie property is loceted, V1-G -1- u ~ NO'N, TH~REFORE, BE IT FCSOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby gcant subject Peti*Son for Varience, upon the follov~ing conditions which ere hereby fovnd to be a necessary prerequisite to the pro- posed use of the subject property in ocder to preserve the safety end general welface of the Citizens of the City of Anaheim: (1) That street lightit~g facilities along Euclid Stxeet and Gler.oaks Aver.ue shsll be in- stalled as required by the Di.rector of Public Utilities and in accordance with standard plar.s and specification~ on file in Che office of the Director of Public Util.ita.e~; and that a bond in an amount and form satisfactory to the City of Anaheim shall be posted with the City to guarantee the instal.lation of the above mentioned requirements. (2) That Condition No. 1, above mentioned, shall be complied with prior to the commence- ment of the activity authorized under this resolutiun, or prior to the time that the building permit is issued, ox within a period of one year from date hereof, whichever occura first, or such further time as the Planning Comm~asion may grant. (3) That adequate clearance of existing electrical lines shail be provided as required by the Electrical Division, Department of Public Utilities, and the State of Calif.ornia G.O. 95. (4; That subject property shaZi be developed substantially in accordance with plans and specifications on file with the City of Anaheim marked Exhibit Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 pro- vided, however, that lsndscaping shall be in con£ormance with Code requirements.
