WICKES FURNITURE, 515 north Washington Avenue, Saginaw, Nichigan 48607, Owner; C. N. PRODUCTS,
4530 Miseion Gorge Place, San Diego, California 92120, Agent of certain real property situ»ted
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as deacribed in Exhibit "A~

end efter due eonaideratlon of a11 evldence and ropoRe offered at eeid heartng, does find and detecmine the following
facts:
1. That the pefitioner requeets a varianee [rom the Anahelm Municlpal Code as fol lows :
a. SECTIOid 18.62.090(8-2) - tdaxinum height of a free-standing sign
within 330 feet of a residential use.
(28 feet allowed; 42 feet proposed)
b. SECTl~PI 18.52.090(H-4) - Maximum hrea of a ~ree-standing slgn.
(350 square faet allowed; 372 square feet
proposed)
c. SECTION 18.62.090(B-5) - tdinimum itistance of free-standing siqn
from abutting property line.
(120 feet required; 0 feet proposed)
d. SECTION 18.62,p90(E-2) - Minimum heiqht of a free-stan8ing sign.
(8 feet required; 6 feet proposed)
e. SECTION 18.62.10U(~:-2) - Maximum area of an exit sign.,
(15 square feet proposed; 3 square feet
allowefl)
2. That Waivers la, 1-h, and 1-e, above mentioned, are hereby denied on
the basis that the petitioner had not submitted evidence that a hardaliip
existed to consider waiver of the Sign Ordinance as requested.
?. That waivers 1-c and 1-d, above mentioned, are hereby granted on the
basi.s that Lhe location and ]zeight of free-standing signs as proposed would
not have a c9etr.imental effect on adjoining properties.

6. That the requested variance, as granted, will not be materially detri-
mental to the public wel£are or injurious to the property or improvements in
such vicinity and zone in which the property is located,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission
does hereby grant, in part, subject Petition for Variance upon the following
conditions which are hereby found to be a necessar,y prerequisite to the nro-
posed use of the subject property in order to orese:ve the safety and general
welfare of the Citizens of the City of Anaheim:
1. That adequate clearance of existing electrical lines shall be provided
as required by the Electrical Division, Department of Public Utilities, and
the Sta~e of California G.0.95.
2. That subject property shall be developed substantially in accordance
with plans and specifications on file with the City of Anaheim marked Exhibit
Nos. 1, 2, and 3, provided, however, that signs shall conform to the Sign
Ordinance as it pertains to waivers denied.
3. That Condition Nos. 1 and 2, above mentioned, shall be complied with
prior to .Eir,al building and zoning inspections.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this llth day of
May, 1972.
