WHEREAS, the City Plenning Commission did hold a pub]ic hearing at the City :iall in the City of Anaheim
an August 20, 1973, et 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of seid public hearing having been duly given as cequired
by lew and in eccordence with the provisions of the Aneheim Municipal Code, Chepter 18.68,to heer and consider
evidence Eot and against seid proposed verience and to investigete and meke Eindings and recommendations in connec-
tion therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commissinn, after due inspection, investiga4ion, end study mede by itself and in its behelf,
and after due consideretion of all evidence end reports oEEered at seid hearing, does Eind and determine the folluwing
facts: ~
1. Thet the petitioner requests a variance Erom the Anaheim Municipel Code as fol lows, :o permi t the con-
tiinued use of an existing room additian:
SECTION i8.24.030(3-b) - Minimum rear yard setback.(10 feet required; 6 feet proposed)
2. That there are exceptional or extraordinary circumstences o. cenditions appliceble to the propecty involved
or to the intended use of the property thnt do not apply generelly to the property or class of use in the same vioinity
end zone.
3. Thet the requested va~iance is necessery for the preservation end enjoyment of a substantial pcoperty righl
possessed b~ other property in the seme vicinity end zone, end denied to the property in question.
4. That the requested veriance will not be materially detrimental to the public welfate or injurious to the pmp-
erty o* impcovements in such vicinity and zone in which the QcopeRy is loceted.
ENVIRQNMENTAL {MPACT FEPORT FINDING:
That the Planning Commission, in connection with an~Exemption Declaration Status request, finds
and determines that the proposal would have no significant environmental impact ar~d, therefore,
recommends to the City Council that no Environmental Impact S:atement is necessary.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission does heceby grant subject
petition for Verience, upon the following conditions which are heceby found to be a necessary pcerequisite to the pco-
posed use of the subject property in order to pceserve the sefety and generel welfare of the Citizens of the City of
Anaheim: ,
(1) That subJect property shall be developed substantially in accordance with plans and
specificat3ons on file with the City of Anaheim marked Exhibit Nos, 1 and 2.
(2) 1'hat the existing strsctu~•e shall be brought up to the mi~imum standards of the City
of Anaheim, including the Uniform Building, Plumbing, Electrical, Housic~g, Mechanical and Fire
Codes as adopted by the City of Anaheim.
