PC 73-37~ ~ ~ RESOLUTIQN N0. ~ PC73-37 A RESOLUTION OF THE C1TY PLANNING COMDIISSION QF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT PETITION FOR VARIANCE NO. 2470 BE G1tANTED WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the Ci:y of Anaheim did receive a verified Petition for Variancc from KE:tMADA CORPORATIQN, c/o of Atlantic Rir_hfield, 1786 West Lincoln Avenue, Ar.aheim, Ca2ifornia 92804, Owner; P B R COMFANY, 1020 East Vermont Acercue, Anaheim, Califor;~ia 928J5, Agent of certain real properCy situnted in the City of Anahefm, County of Orange, State of California, described as Parcel 1 as shown on a map filed in Book 45 Page 13, of Parcel Maos in the office of the County Recorder of said county; and ' WHEREAS, thc City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anahcim an February 21, ? 973, at 2:00 o clock p.m., notice of said public hearing having becn duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of thc Maheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.68, to hcar and consider evidencc for and against said proposed variance and to investigate and make findings and recommendaUons in conncction therewith; and WHEREAS, said Commission, aftcr due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself and in ils bchalf, and aftcr due consideration of nll evidcncc and reports ofCered at said hcaring, does find and determinc thc following facts: 1. Thatthcpetitionerrequests variances.from'the Anaheim Mur..icipal Code as followa: a. SECTION 18.62.090B(1) - Maximum number of free-stending siKna. (One permitted; four proposeJ) b. SECTION 18.62.090B(1) - Minimum distance between free-standinq siRna. (300 feet required; 40 feet minimum proposed - also "50 feet and 60 feet) c. SECTION 18.62.090B(5)_ - Minimum distance of a free-standinR si~n from atut- ting propertv line, (40% requtred; 27% proposed) d. SECTION 18.62.100B(1) - Maximum area of a free-standin~, sign. (I00 equare feet permitted; 152 aquare feet proposed) 2. That the waivers 1-a, 1-U, and 1-c, above menCioned, are hereby granted on the besis they have been granted in the pest by the City Council. 3. That there are exceptional or extraordinary circumstances or conditions appli^able to the property involved or to the intended use of the property that do not a~ply gene.ally to tfie property or clasa of uae in the same v±cinity and zone. 4. That the requested variance ia necessary Por the preservation and enjoyment of a substantial property right possessed by other property•in the same vicinitp and zone, and denied to the properCy in question. ;~ 5.
