A RESOLUTION OF THE CiTY PLANNING COMMISSION OF'fHE CITY OF ANAHEIM
THAT PETITION FOR VARIANCE N0. z465 BE DENIED
r,
NHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified Petition for Variance from
~ GLENOAKS INVE:,TMENT COMPANY, Post Office Box 10262, Santa Ana, California 92711, Owner;
' INCOME PROPERTY SERVICSS, 1095 North Main Street, Suite D, Urange, Cali~ornia 92667,
Agent of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of California, as described in Exhibit "A" sttached hereto and referreu to herein as
though set forth in full; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
January 8, 1973, at 2:OU o'c1ocY, p.m., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by law and
in accordance with the'provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.68, to hear and codsider evidence for and against said
proposed variance and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study rnade by itseif and in its behalf, and after due
cansideration of al; evidence and reports offered at said hearing, does find and determine the following facu:
I. That the petitiorer requests a vcriance from the Anaheim Municipal Code:a s follows :
SECTION Z8.62.050(c) - Maximum sign area. (20 square feet permitted;
132 square foot wall sign (6 feet x 22 feet) existing
and proposed)
2, That the granttng of subject petition would be granting a privilege not enjoyed by
other aps:tment complexes who also de`sire to advertise their facilities.
3. That the sign is freeway oriented and signing as permitted by the Anaheim Municipal
Code is adequate to provide for directional signing rather than as proposed.
4. That ther~ are no exceptional or extraordinary circumstances or conditians appli-
cable to the property involved or to the intended use of the property that do not apply
generally to the prope'rty or class of use in the same vicinity and zone.
5. That the requested variance is not necessary for th~ preservation and enjoyment of
~ a substantial property right possessed by other property in the samE vicinity and zone,
and denied to the property in question.
6. That the requested variance will be materially detrimental to the public welfare
or injurious to the property or improvements in such vicinity and zone in which the prop-
erl•y is located.
' ENVIRONMENTA.L IMPACT R'EPORT FINDING:
,; That the Planning Commission finds and determines that the proposal would have no signifi-
cant environmental impact and, therefore, recommends to the City Counci.l that Exemption.
Declaration Status be granted.
