A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT A
CHANGE OF ZONE SHOULD NOT BE GRANTED IN A
CERTAIN AREA OF THE CITY HEREINAFTER DEseRI"BED.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim has heretofor~duly passed and "adopted a resolution
recommending denial o~~ change in the boundaries of the zone or
zones hereinafter mentioned and described, after having fixed a
time and place for the holding of a public hearing thereon in
the manner and as prescribed in Title 18 of the Anaheim MUnicipal
Code, and after having duly held and conducted such public hear-
ing to consider said proposed change of zone or zones, and after.
having received evidence and reports from persons interested
therein; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days following the
hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announce by for-
mal resolution its findings of facts and declare its opinions and
reasons for recommending denial of said proposed ~hange in the
boundaries of the zone or zones hereinafter mentioned and
described; and .
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation
of the City Planning Commission, the City Council did thereupon
fix the ..2.ai:.l:l- day of ApriL , 19 71 , as the time and the
Council cnamber in the C1ty Hall of the~y of Anaheim as the
place for a public hea~ing upon said proposed change of zone or
zones and did give not~ce thereof in the manner and as provided
in said Title 18 of the Anaheim MUnicipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an oppor-
tunity to be heard and did receive evidence and reports and did
thereupon consider the recommendations of the City Planning
Coamission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
the property and area proposed to be changed from the zone or
zones in which it is now situated to a different zone, as herein-
after set forth, is more suitable for the zone or zones in which
it is now incorporated and that a change of zone should not be
gr"anted.
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that all of the property and area situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
described as follows:
All that certain land situated in the State of California,
County of Orange, descriDed as follows:
~hat portion of ~ots 3 and 4 in Block 23 of Golden state
Tract, as shown on a map thereof recorded. in book 4, pages
66 and 67, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County,
described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the Southwesterly line of
said Lot 3 with a line that is parallel with and distant
~lilesterly 217.50 feet measured at rig"ht angles froIn the Easterly
line of said Lot 3; thence i:Jorth 70 26 I 30 a West along said

parallel line a distance of 361.90 feet, said point being the
true point of beginning; thence South 820 33' 30" West 230.12
feet; thence South 290 191 30 H V/est 132.18 feet to a line that
is parallel with and distant ~ortheasterly 20.00 feet measured
at right angles from the Southwesterly line of said Lot 3;
thence i~orth 600 40 I 30il West along said parallel line a distance
of 376.31 feet; thence N'orth 70 26' 30t! West along 325.51 feet
to the Southerly line of land described as Parcel 2 in a Deed
to the State of California filed February 25, 1954, as document
&0. 28719, in the office of the Registrar of Titles in the
office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California;
thence i"Jorth 820 33 I 30;; East 610.69 feet along the Southerly
line and its Easterly prolongation to a line that is parallel
with and distant Westerly 217.50 feet Ineasured at right angles
from the Easterly line of said Lot 3; thence South 70 26 I 30::
East 444.86 feet to the true point of beginning.
Excepting therefrom the Northerly 20.00 feet.
Also excepting therefrom the Westerly 145.00 feet thereof
measured along Northerly line of said lots.
Also excepting therefrom that portion of Lot 3 in Block 23 of
Golden State Tract, as shown on map recorded in book 4, pages
66 and 67 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County
Recorder of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the West line of the East 217.50 feet
of said lot, distant thereon South 70 191 3311 East, 356.55
feet from the North line of Canal Street, 25.00 feet wide as
shown on said maps, said point of beginning being the North-
east corner of the land conveyed to Freeway Industrial Center
by deed recorded in book 5544, at page 248 of Official Records
in said office; thence along said West line, South 70 191 33u
East, 11.61 feet; thence Westerly along a non-tangent curve,
concave Northerly having a radius of 4948.00 feet from a tangent
which bears South 860 07 I Il;~ 'West, through an angle of 10 46 1

land; thence along said North line, North 820 40' 27H East,
153.03 feet to the point of beginning.
remain in R-A(O) AGRICULTURAL (Oil Production) ZONE, in which it is
now incorporated, and that the reclassification to C-3, HEAVY COM-
l/illRCIAL ZONE, be denied, as recommended by the City Planning conunission.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this
