Nf1EREAS, the Clty Planning Commisslon did hold a public hearing at the City
Hetl In the Ctty of Anaheim on bctober 27, 1976, at 1:30 p.m., notice of sald pubtic
hearing heving been duly given as requlred by law and In accordance wlth the
provlsions of the Anahelm Municipal Code, Chapter 18.03, to hear and constder
evidence for and against said proposed verTance and to investfgate and make ftndtngs
and recanmendetions in connection therewith; and
WHEREAS~ sald Conmisslon, after due Inspection~ Invr.stigatton and study made
by itself and !n ite behalf~ and after due considera4lon of all ovidence and reports
offered at said hearing~ does find end determine the foliowing facts:
1, That the petitioner proposes the Pollowing walvers from the Anahelm
Muni~lpal Code, to permit two exlsting signs:

(1) year, subJect tu revlew and consideration for possible extensions of tlme and
subject to the stipulatlon of the petltloner to improve the appearance of the signs
and to comply with the Building Dlvlsion requlrements to make the roof-maunted sign
sa4e.
3, That Lhere are exceptlonal or extraordinary circumstances or candltions
appllcable to the propcrty involved or to the lntended usa ef the property that do
not apply generally to the property or class of use in the same vicinity and zone.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FINDINf,: That the Director of the Planning
Department haa a~term ned that the proposed actlvity falls wlthin the deflnition of
Sectlon 3.A1, Class 11, of the City of Anah9lm Guideltnes to the Requlrements ~or an
Envfronmental Impact Report and Is, Yhererdre~ categoricatly exempt from the
raquirernent to file an EIR,

NOW, THEREFORE~ BE 17 RESOLVED that the Anahcim City Planning Commission
" dces hereby grant sub)ect Petition for Variance, upon the following condTtions which
vre hereby 1'ound to be a necessnry prerequlsite to the praposed use of the subJect
property In ordar to preserve the safety and general wnlfEre of the Cittzens of the
City of Anaheim:
1. That trash storage areas shall be provided in accordance with approved
oians on file wlth the Offlce of the Qirector of Public Norks.
2. That street llghting facilities along Beach Boulevard shatl be
installad as required by the Director of Pubitc Utllities. and ln accordance with
standard plans and specificatlons on fite in the Office of the Director of Public
Utilitles and/or that a bond. certificate of deposit~ letter of credit, or cash in an
amount and form satisfactory to the City of Anaheim shall be posted with the City to
guarantee the inatallatlon of the above-menttoned requlrements. .
3. That subJect property shall be developed substantially in accordance
wlth plbns and speciflcatlons on file with the City of Anahelm marked Exhibit No. 1;
provided~ however, that additional structural support for the roof-mounted sign shall
be provided In accordance with the Buliding Divislon requirements~ as stTpulated to by
the petitionar.
4, That Condition No. 2, above-mentioned~ shall be complled with prlor to
the tlmQ that the building pnrmlt is lssued, or wlthin a perlod of one (1) year from
the date hereof~ whichever occurs fir~`~ or such 4urthar time as the Planntng
CommlasTon moy grent.

prlor to final bullding and zoning inspe~tto~is.
