uHEREAS, the City Pianning Ca:Rnission diJ hoid a pubiic hcaring at the City
Fiall in the City of Anaheim on June 19, 1978, at 1:30 p.m., nottce of ,aid public
hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance wTth the
provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.03, to hear and consider
evidence for and against said proposed condi[tonal use and [o investigate and make
findings and recortxnenda[ions in connection therewith; and
41HEREAS. said Carnnission, after due lnspection, investigation and study made
by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideratton o+.' all evidence and reports
offered at said hearing, daes find and determine the followtng facts:
i. That the proposed use is properly one for which a conditional use
permit is authorized by A~aheim Muntcipal Code Sectton 18.03.030.Q10 to wtt: tfl
permit a slaughter house.
2. That [he proposed use is hereby denied an the basis thai the use would
not be compatible with the surrounding area including nearby light tndustr(at and
residential uses and would have an adverse impact on the Clty of Anaheim,
3. That the proposed use wlll adversely affec[ the adJolni~g land uses and
the growth and development of the area in which it is proposed to be located.

4. That the, size and shape of the site- proposed for the use Ts not
adequate to allow the full development of the proposed use Tn a manner not
detrimental to the particular area nor to the peace~ health, safety, and general
welfare of the Citizens of the City of Anahetm.
5. That the granting of the Conditional Use Permit would be detrimental to
the peace, health, safety and general weifare of the Citizens of the City of Anaheim.
6. That 3 persons Indlcated their presence at said public hearing in
opposltlon; and that no correspondence was received in oppositlon [o the subject
petltion.
ENVIRONHENTAL IMPACT FINDING: That the Anaheim City Planning Commission has
reviewed the subJect project to permit a slaughter house on a rectangularly-shaped
parcei of land consisting of approximately 2.3 acres havtng a frontage of
approximately 190 feet on the west side of Nancock Street, having a maxtmum depth of
approximately 575 feet. 6eing located approximately 745 feet north of the centerline
of La Palma Avenue; and does hereby approve the Negative Declaration from the
requlrement to prepare an environmen[al impact report on the basis that there would
be no significant ind(vidual or cumulative adverse environmental impact due to the
appravai of this Negatlve Declaration since the Anaheim General Plan designates the
subject property for general industrial land uses cortmensurate with the proposal;
that no sensitive e~vironmental impacts are involved in the proposal; that the
Initial Study submitted by the pe[tcioner indicatea no significant indivtdual or
cumulative adverse environmental impacts; and that the Negative Declaration
substantiating the foregoing findings is on ftle in the City of Anaheim Planning
Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED [hat the Anahcim City Planning Camnisston
does hereby deny subject Petition for Condittonal Use Permit on the basl~ of the
aforementioned findings.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this 19th day of June
