THAT PETITION fOR VP,RIAtICE N0. 3029 BE DENIED
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commisslon did recelve a verifled
Petition for Varlance from D L D DEVELOPMENT CO., 11003 Norwalk Boulevard, Santa Fe
Springs, California 90670, owner, of certain real property situated ln the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of Californla described as:

WHEREAS, the City Plannin9 Commission did schedule a public hearing at the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim on July 17, 1978, at 1:30 p.m.~ notice of said
public hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the
provlsions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.03, to hear and consider
evtdence for and against said proposed varfance and [o i~vestigate and make flndings
and recommendations in connection therewtth; said public hearing having been
continued to the Plannin9 Commission meeting of Juiy 31, 1?78. snd
NtiEREAS, said Lor~mtssion, after due inspectlon, (nvcstiaation and s[udy made
by itself and In i[s behalf, and after due considera[ton of all evidence and reports
offered at said hcaring. does fi~d and determine the following facts:
1. That the peti[ioner proposes a waiver of the followtng to construct a
free-sta~ding sign:

2, That the above-mentloned waiver is hereby denled on the basls that the
petitione~ did not demonstrate that a hardship exists In that vislbility to subject

conditions applicable to the property lnvolved or to the Intended use of the property

public welfare or 1nJurious to the property or improvements in such vlci~tty and zone
ln which the property ls located.
6, That no one lndicated thelr presence at said public hearing In
opposition; and that no correspondence was received in oppositlon to the subject
petitton.
ENVIRONMEttTAI IMPACT FIh~iNG: 'fhe Planning Director or his authorized
representat ve as eterm ne t at the proposed proJect falls within the deftnttion
of Categorical Exemptlons, Class 11, as defined tn Paragraph 2 of the City of Anaheim
Environmental Impact Report Guidelines and is, therefore, categorically exempt from
the requirement to prepare an EIR.
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RE50LVED that the Anahetm Lity Planning Commission
does hereby deny subJect Petitlon for Variance on the basis of thc aforementioned
findings.
