A RESOLUTIOIJ OF THE AP~AHEIM CITY PLANNING COt1MISSION
THAT PET~TION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT N0. 1881 BE GRAtdTED
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Pianning Commission did receive a verifTed
Petition for Conditlonal Use Permit from ALLEN J. AND DOPINA L. LONG, 529 South State
College Bouievard, Anaheim, California, 92806, orrners, and THEO FARIS, 131 Jamica
Circle, Placentia, California 92670, agent, of certain real property situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Lot 5 i~ Block 1 of Tract No. 304, in the City ;.f Anaheim, as per
map recorded in Book 14, Page 50 of Miscellaneous Maps, in [he
office of the County Recorder of said County.
WHEREAS, the City Planntng Lommission did hold a public hearing at the City
Hall in the Ctty of Anaheim on August 28, 1978, at 1:30 p.m., notice of said public
hearing having been duly given as requfred by law and tn accordance with the
provisions of tne Anaheim Yunicipal Code, Chapter 18.03, to hear and consider
evidence for and against said proposed condttional use and to investigate and make
findin9s and recommendattons in connection therewtth; and
b1HEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and study made
by ttself and in its 6ehalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports
offered at said hearing, does find and determine the followiny facts:
1. That [he proposed use is properly one for which a conditional use
permlt is authortzed by Anaheim Municipal Code Section 18.03.030.010 [o wit: to
permit an aut:-mobile detail shop with a waiver of:

2, That the aforementloned waiver is hereby granted on the basis that the
use does not generate thc need for the required parking spaces because the petittoner
will be detaiiing only five or six automobiles per day and such vehicles will be
picked up and delivered daily.
3. That the proposed use is h~reby granted for a six (6) month period of
time, subJect to revie~ and to consideratton for extension of time to determine
whether thc use has had a detrimental effect on adJoining and nn_arby land uses; and
subject to the foliowing st3pulatio~s by the petitioner:
(a) That a!1 work shall be conducted wholly inside the building.
(b) That the hours of operation shall be 8:00 a.m, to 6:00 p.m,, Monday
through Frfday~ and that no automobile detailing or automottve work
shall be done at any other time.
(c) That the doors to the bullding shall be closed during the buffing
oper~tion of a!1 vehicles and that filters shall bc installed in the

venting system, if feasi6le. to prevent noxious fumes or particles from
dispersing to adJacent propertles.
(d) That any painting will be done with spray caris only and there will be
no air compressars for painting nor wtll Chere be any steam cleaning.
4. That the proposed use will not adversely affect the adjoining land uses
and the growth and development of the area in which it is proposed ta be located.
5. That the size and shape of the stte proposed for the use is adequate to
allotv the full development of tFe proposed use in a manner not detrimental to the
particular area nor to the peace, health, safety, and general welfare of the Citizens
of the City of Anaheim.
6, That the granting of the Conditional Use Permit under the conditions
imposed, if any, will not be detrPmental to the peace, health, safety and general
welfare of Che Citizens of the City of Anaheim.
7. That four persons indicated their presence at s~id public hearing fn
opposttion; and that no correspondence was ~eceived in opposition to the subject
petition.
ENVIRONt1ENTAL IMPACT FINDING: The Pla~ning Director or his authorized
representative has determined that the proposed proJect falls r+ithin the definition
of Cate9orical Exemptions, Class 1, as defined in Paragraph ?. of the City of Anaheim
Environmental impact Report Guidelines and is, Lherefore, categorically exempt from
the requirement to prepare an EIR.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim Gity Plannin9 Commission
does hereby grant subject Petition for Conditio~al Use Permit. upon the followin9
condi[ions which are hereby found to be a necessary prerequisite to the proposed use
of the subJect property in arder to preserve the safety and general welfare of the
Citizens of the City of Anaheim:
t, That subject property shall be developed substantially in accordance
with plans and speciftcations on file with the City of Anahein marked Exhibit tlos. i
and 2.
2. That the use is granted for a six (6) month period of time subJect to
revtew by the Pianning Canmission for possible extensions of [ime upon written
request by the petitioner.
3. That all work shall be conducted wholly inside the building.
A. That the hours of op erations shall be 8:00 a.m, to 6:06 p.m., Monday
through Friday. and that na automoblle detatiing or automottve viork shall be done at
any other time.
5, That the building doors shall be closed during the buffing operation of
all vehicles a~d that fTlters shall be tnstalled in the ven[ing system, if feasible,
to prevent noxious fumes or particles from disPe.rsing to adjacent propertles.
6. That any painting will be done with spray cans only and there wilt be
no air compressors for painting nor will there be any steam cleaning.

~ BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Anahefm Ctty Planning Commission does hereby
; find and detcrmine that adoption of this Resolution is expressly predicated upon
applicant's compliance with each and all of the condltions heret~above se[ forth.
Should any such conditton. or any part thereof~ be declared invalid or unenforceable
t by the final Judgment of any court of competent Jurisdictlon, then this Resolution,
, and any approvats heretn contained, shall be decned null and void.
