WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a publYc hearing at the City Hall in the C(ty of Anaheim on Otto6er 9, 1978~ at 1:30 p.m „ notice of satd public hearing having bean duly given as required by law and tn accordance with the provisions of the Anahelm Municipal Code~ Chaptsr 1~.03, to hear and consider PC78-235 , evidence for and against said proposed conditional use and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, Investtgation and study made by itself and in i[s behaif, and after due consideration of all evidence and reporCs offered at said hearing, does find and determtnc the following facts: t. That the proposed use is proposed ts properly one for which a condltional use permit 1s authorized by Anahelm Municipal Code Sectton 18.45.050.040 to wit: to permit the shorring of aduit movtes In an existing motel. 2. That the proposed use is hereby denied on the basis that the use would not be compattble with the surrounding community consisting of industrial and canmercial uses with a church and school in close proxtmlty to the subJect property. 3. That the proposed use will adversely affect the adJolning land uses and the growth and development of the area in which i[ is proposed to be located, 4. That the size and shape of the site proposed for the use is not adequate to allow the full development of the proposed use in a manner not detrimental to the par[icular area nor to the peace, health, safety, and general welfare of the Citizens of the City of Anaheim. 5. Tha[ the granting of the Londitional Use Permit will be detrlmenta! to the peace, health. safety and general weifare of the Cltizens of the Clty of Anahelm. 6. That one person indica[ed his presence at said public hearing in opposition; and that no correspondence was received tn opposi[lon to the subJect petition. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPALT FINDING: The Planning Director or his au[hortzed representat ve has determ ne that thr. proposed proJect falls wlthin the definitlon of Categorical Exemptions, Class 1, as defined in Paragraph 2 of the City of A~aheim Environmental Impact Report Guldelines and is, therefore, categorically exempt from the requirement to prepare an F.IR. NdN, THEREfORE, BE IT RE50LVED that the Anaheim City Plannfng Commission does hereby deny subject Petition for Condiclonal Use Permtt on the basis caf the aforemen[toned findTngs.
