WHEREAS. the Anaheim Lity Planning Camnission dtd receive a verifled

WFIEREAS, the City Planning Commission dtd hnld a publlc hearing at the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim on October 23, 1978, at 1:30 p.m., no[ice of said public
hearing having been duly given as requlred by law and in accordance with the
provisions of [he Anahelm Munt~tpal Code, Chapter 18,03, to hear and consider
evtdence for and against said proposed conditianal use and to investigate and make
findings and recommendatTons in connection therewith; and
4IHEREAS, said Commission, after duc inspection, investigation and study made
ny itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports
offered at said hearing, does find and determine the following facts:
1, That the proposed use is properly one for which a conditiona) use
permit is authorized by Anaheim Municipal Code Sectlon 18.44.050.050 to wit: [o
permit a veterinary hospital.
2. That the proposeci use is hernby yranted subject [o [he foiTowing
stipulations bv the petitioner:
a. Subject facili[y wiil be a small animal and household pet clinic
providing routtne veterinary care, disease prevention and common
surgical procedures (neutering, dental and orthopedic work).
b. That there will be no boarding of animals except for animals being
treated and that such a~imals will typically hospitalized for no more
than 48 hours.
c. That the anttcipated hours of operations will be °:00 a,m, co 6:30 p.m.
Monday through Saturday with 2 to 5 employees.
d, That all anlmals will be housed tnside the faciltty at all tlmes and
that all animal cages will be located in a sound-proof roan.
e. That the vetertnary use will be conducted wholly inside the building
with no outdoor actlvities.

3. That the proposed use will not adversely affect the adJoininq land usas
and the yrowth and development of the area in which it ts proposed to be located.
4. That the size and shape of the sitc proposed for the use is adequate to
allow the futl development of the proposed use in a manner not detrimental to the
particular area nor to the peace. heatth, safety, and general welfare of the Citizens
of the City of Anaheim.
5. That the granting of the Condltionai Use Permit under the condittons
imposed~ if any, will not be detrlmental to the peace, health, safety and general
welfare of the Citizens of the City of Anaheim.
6. That no one indicated their presence at said public hearing in
opposition; and that no correspondence was recelved ln opposition to the subject
petlt7on.
ENVIRONMENTAL IHPACT FINDINC: The Plannirtg Director cr his authorized
representative has determined that the proposed project falls withi~ the. definition
of Categorical Exemptions, Class 1. as defined tn Parayraph 2 of the Lity of Anaheim
Environmental Impact Report Guidelines and Is, therefore, tategorically exempt from
the requirement to prepare an EIR.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission
does hereby grant subJect Petitton for Condltional Use Permit. upon the following
conditions Nhich are hereby found to be a necessary prerequlsite to the proposed use
of the subject property In order to preserve the safety and general welfare of the
Citizens of the Ltty of Anaheim:
1. That subject property shali be developed substantially in accordance
with plans and spectficatfons on file wiih the Lity of Anaheim marked Exhibit Ho. 1.
2, That there will be no boarding of animals except for animals being
trcated.
3, Tha; the veterinary use will be conducted wholly tnside the building
aith no outdoor activities.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Anahelm Ci[y Planning Commisslon dces hereby
find and determine that adoption of this Resolu[ion is expressly predtcated upon
appl(cant's compliance ~.aith eoch and all of the conditions heretnabove set forth.
Should any such condition, or any part thereof, be declared tnvalid or unenforceabte
by the final Judgment of any court of competent Jurisdiction, then this Resolution,
and any approvals herein con[atned, shall be deemed null and vold.
