4fHEREAS, [he Lity Planning Commission did hold a public hcaring at the City
Hall in the City of Anaheir~ on November 20, 1978, at 1:30 P.n•. notice of said public
hearing having heen duly given as required by laa~ and in accordance wtth Lhe
provisions of the Anaheim Hunici~ai Code, Chapter 18.03. to hear and consider
evidence for and agai~st said proposed conditional use and to investiga[e and make
findings and recommendatlons in connectlon therewith; and
WFIEREAS, said Lommission, after due Tnspection~ investigation and study made
by itself and in its behalf, and after d~e consideratian of a>>factsence and reports
offered at said hearing. does find and determine the followin9
1. That the proposed use is properly one for which a conditional use

traffic generated would not be compatible wi[h the surrounding area which conststs of

of two heavily [raveled arCerial streets would cause a potential traffic hazard.
3. That the proposed use will adversely afifect [he adjoining land uses and
[he growth and development of the area in which it is proposed to be located,
4. That thc size and shape of the site proposed far the use is not
adequate to allow the full development of the proposed ust in a manner not
detrimental to the particular area nor to the peace, health, safety, and general

ENVIaONMENTAL IMPACT FINDIt~G: That the Anahcim City Plannln~ Commission has
reviewed the proposa to permt[ a truck and irailer rental yar~ on a rectangularly-
shaped parcel of land cans(stfn9 of anproximately Q,5 acre located at the northwest
corner of Orange Avcnue and Kno[t 5[reet, havtng approximatc frontages of 149 feet on
the north side of Orange Avenue and 147 fect on the YMSC sidc of Knott Street; and
does hereby approve the kegative Declaration from tfie requirement [o preparc an
environmental impact report on the basis that there wauld be no significant
individual or cumulative adverse environmentai impact ~ue to the approval of this
Negattve Declaration slnce the A~aheim General Plan designaces the subject propert~
for general commercial land uses carmensurate wlth the proposal; that no sensttive
enviro;~mental impacts are involved in the proposal; that che Initial Study submitted
by the pe[ittoner Indicates no significant Individual or cumulative adverse
environmental impacts; and that the Negative Declara[ion substantlating the foregoing
findings is on file ln Lht Clty of Anaheim Planntng Departmen[.
NOw, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anahetm Ci[y Planning Commission
does hereby deny subjcct Petition for Condittonal Use Permit on the basis of the
aforementtoned findings.
