RESOLUTION NO. 71R- 104
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND
SOUTHERN PACIFIC TR&~SPORTATION COMPANY,
RELATING TO THE PACIFICO AVENUE GRADE C~OSSING.
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Transportation Company,
a corporation of the State of Delaware, has tendered to the City
of Anaheim an agreement providing for the te~s and conditions
under which a grade crossing at the Southern Pacific tracks and
Pacifico Avenue may be constructed, maintained and used, includ-
ing the obligation on the part of the City to assume 100% of the
cost of constructing said grade crossing and installing safety
devices; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the
best interests of the City to enter into such agreement and to
assume the obligation for said costs estimated to be $32,360.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Mayor and the City Clerk be, and they
are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement for
and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 16th day of March, 1971.
