PC3~-17; A RESOLUT I 0`J OF THE ANAHE I M C I TY PLAPIN 1 MG C0~1"1 I SS I OPI REC0~4MEND I ~IG TO T!IE C ITY COUIJC I L OF THE C ITY OF A'IAHE It1 ADOPT I~'J OF A!IAHE I M GENERAL PLA~I AMF?IDME~IT N0. 161 LAND USE ELEME"IT WHEREl1S, The Clty Council of the ~ity of /lnaheim did adopt the Anaheim General Plan by Resolution t~o. ~9R-6l+~F, shoaiing the general dr.scription ~nd extent of possible future deveiopment withln the City; and WHEREAS, pursuant to requests from pro~erty oam ers for fenerai Plan study, the Anaheim City Plannirg Cormission directed City staff to prepare a General Plan Amendment for the rectangularly-shaped parcel consistinq of approximately 5.~ acres located on the 4rest side of Rio Vista Street aporoximately ?7~ feet south of the centerline o` Lincoln Avenuc; and blHEREAS, the Planning Department deemed it aroropriate, pursuant to the provisions of Che California Environmental Quality Act, after revie+•~ of the proposal and the Initial Study and found no significant e.nvironmental impact and recommends that a Ncaative Declaration be aop~oved; and WHEREAS, the Anaheem City Planninc~ Connission did hold a public hearing at the Anaheim Civic Center, Council Cham!~er, 200 South Anaheim Boul~vard, on 6ctober F, 1g80~ at 1:30 p.m., notice uf said public hearing havinci heen dulv given as required by laa~ and in accordancF wi[h the pr~visions of the Anaheim Hunicipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and againstsaid Amendment to thP llnaheim General Plan and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection. investigation and study made by itseff and in its behaff and after tiue consicieration of aii eviciencc and reports offered at said hearing, f`OES NEREBY FIiJD: 1. That evid~ence was presented arhich suhstantiates the need for an amendment to the Anaheim General Plan~ and it is deemed appropriate that "Exhibit A" be adopted. NOW, Tf1EREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED that t!~e Anaheim City Planninca Conunission has reviewed the proposat for a General Plan Amendment on an area consisting of approximately 5.0 acres located on the west side of Rio Vista Street approximately 270 feet south of the centerlinc of Lincoln AvenuP; and does herehy approve the Negativ. Declaration from the requirement to prepare an environmental impact report on the basis that there SJOUIC3~JC no significant individual or cumulative adverse environmr_ntal impact due to the approval nf this ~lena[ive Declaration, sincE no sensitive enviro~mental impacts are involved in the pro~osal; and that the Plegative Declaration substantiating the foregoing findings is nn file in the City of Anaheim Planning Uepartment.
