ADOf'TING /1ND RECOh1MENDiNG TO TH[ CITY COUNCIL GF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIPI ADOPTION OF AN AMEND~IENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF
THE GENER6IL PLAN, U[SIGNATED AS At9ENDMENT ~JO. 172 - EXHIBIT "6"
WHEP,EAS, the City Council oP Che City of ~naheim did adopt the Flnaheim
General Plan by Resolution No. 69~;-644, sho~•iin~ the general description ar' ct~nt
of possible future developrnent ~~~ithin the City; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to a request from the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency
for a General Plan Amendment Study, City staff prepared a Genaral Plan ~mendment
fur an area consisting of app roximately 3.1 acres bounded on the north by Cypress
Street, south by Lincoln Avenue, east by an alley and Helena Street, and west by
Harbor Bculevard; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Department deemed it appropriate, pursuant to the
provisions of the California Environrriental Quality Act, that the preject area ~•~as
covered under Environmental impact Report No, t89 o-~hich i•ias previously approved; and
41HEREAS, The Anaheim City Planning Commission did hold a oublic hearing at
the Anaheim Civic Center, Council Chamber, 200 South Anaheim Boulevard, on November
16, 1981, at l:;U ;.~n., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as
required by laa~ and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code,
to hear and consider evidence for and against said FlmendnxVnt to the Anaheim General
Plan and to investigate and make findinas and recommendations in connection
thereo-~i th; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, aft~r due consideration, inspection, investi~ationaid
study made by itself, and after d~e consideration of atl evidence and reports

l. That eviderice ~oas presented i~~hich substantiates the need for an
amendment to the Anaheim Genera? Plan, and it is deenied appropriate that "Exhibit
B" be adopted, designating the entire area for commercial, officP and professional
uses.
NObl, TFIEREFOR.E, BE IT P,FSOLVED that, pursuant to the foregoing findings
the Anaheim City Planning Commisson does hereby adopt and recommend to the City
Council of th~ City of Anaheim adoption of General Plan Anendment No. 172, Fxhibit "B".
