THAT THE CITY COUPJCIL APPRUVE A~~D ADOPT SAID
PROPOSED AP1EPlDP1EPIT
WHe".REAS, pursuant to ~ections 33453 ~~~ 33~i5a cf ~he Caliro rnia Community
Pedevelopmen[ Law,theRedevelopment Ayency of the City cf rln~heim submiL[ed the pro-
posed Third Amendment to the R~development Plan for R2uevelopinent Project Alpha to
the Plannin9 Commission for its report and recommendation concerning said proposed
~+mendment; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 65402 of the California Planning and Zoning
La:•~, the Redevelopment ~gency also submitted the proposed Thi~-d Amerdment to the
Redevelopment Plan to the Planning Commission `or iCS repor[ as to conTOrmity with
the Anaheim General Plan: and
WHEREAS, the proposed Third Amerdment or the °edevelopment f'lan wouid permit
the development or commercial uses in a small portion of the Project area east of
Harbor 6oulevard, between Cypress and Chartres Streats, ~~~hich is no~•~ d~~iunalcJ un
the Redevelopment Flan `or residential use; and
WHF~EAS, the Planning Commissior by Resolution P~o. PC81-246 has heretorore
~ecommended to the City Council of the City of Anahein that the Generai Plan of thc
City be amended Co designate such land for commercialprofessional use; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has receivecJ and revieo-~ed said proposed
Tnird Amendment to the Redeveiopment Plan and has certi`ied tne Initial Study of
Environmental Impacts perr.aining th~:reto.
P~OW, THEREFOicF BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission or the City of
Anaheim as follcws:
l. The Plar.ning Commission reports that the proposed Third ~mendment
to the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project Alpha shall be in conformity
with the Anaheim General Plan provided that the General P)an shall first be amended
as recommended by Resolution PJo. PCS1-246.
2. The Planning Commission recommends that the City C~uncil appreve
and adopt said proposed Third Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan.
THE FOREGOING RE~OLUTION is signed and approved by me this 16th day of
