Plan by ResoluCior ~~o. 69R-64if, sho~~inc~ the c~ener,~l description ar~d extent of
possible future development :iithin thc City; and
WHEREAS, the CirculaLion Elemer;e ~f Lhe Gen~ral Plan sets forlh the par~meters
(road~.lay ~~~idth and 9eneraiizrd loc~tion) of arCerial hi~f~~~:~ays ~~~iChin tiie current City
boundary and the ultimaCe spLere of influence; and
WNEP,EAS, purs~ant lo a reyuest frorn the City of Anaheim Enyinearing Division
for a ~eneral plan Amendment study, City staff prepared a General Pl~n
Amendment to delete ~~ portion of C~nvenCion iday ~~~hich is currently clesinnated as
a Major Arterial High~aay from the Circulation Element because the City Council
approved an abandonment of a portion of Convention blay (extending east approximately
1180 feet from West Street) associated o~ith the implerne.ntaCior of the Conv~~ntion
Center's Betterment II Prr~gram; and

City Couneil ir. conjunction ~•iith Convent~on C~nter's aetterment II Progrom; and
IdHEREAS, the Anaheim City Plannin~ Corr.mission did hold a public hearing at
the Anaheim Civic Center, Council Chamber, 200 Soutf~~ Anaheim Boulevard, on December
14, 1981, at 1:30 p.m., notice of said public hc~rin9 ha~~inn been duly given as
required by la~•i and in accorJance with the provisions of the Anaheim Muncipal Code,
to hear and consider evidence for and against said Airiendnent to the Anaheim General
Pia~ and to investigate and make findin9s and recommendationsin connection there~•rith;

WHEREAS, said Co~mission, after due consideration, inspection, investigation
and study made by itself, and after due consideration of all evidence ar., reports
offered at said hearing, DOES HEREBY FIIJD:
1. That evidence ~•~~s presented ~~~hich substantiates the need for an amendment
to the Anaheim General Plan, and it is dcemed app ropriate th~t "Exhibit "A" be
adupted, deleting a portion of Convencion!•!ay, extending eas[ approximately 1180 feet
from West Street, as a Major Arterial High~~~ay from the Circulation Element of [he
Generai Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, IiE IT RESOLVED thac, pursuant to the rurenoing findings,
the Anaheim City Planninn Comr.iissian does hereby ac'ont ind recommend to che City
Couneil of the City of Anahcim adoption of General Plan Arnendment No. 174,
