RESOLUTION NO. 71R- 64
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEI!\l APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM OF THE TERRITORY KNOWN AND
DESIGNATED AS ESPERANZA - CARRILLO ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, said Local Agency Formation Commission
authorized the City of Anaheim to annex the territory known and
designated as ESPERANZA - CARRILLO ANNEXATION without notice and
hearing and without an election pursuant to the authority vested
in said Commission by Section 54797.1 of the Government Code;
and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of
California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is un-
inhabited territory. That said consent contained a description
of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this
resolution described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
authorized to approve said annexation by resolution without
notice and hearing pursuant to the approval of said Local Agency
Formation Commission and Section 54797.1 of the Government Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim finds:
That the City of Anaheim submitted proof satisfactory
to the Local Agency Formation Commission that all of the owners
of land within the territory proposed to be annexed have given
their signed consent to such annexation. That said territory
proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in
the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to
the City of Anaheim, and is uninhabited territory. That said
consent signed by all of the owners of land within the territory
proposed to be annexed contained a description of said territory
in words and figures as hereinafter in this resolution described.
That the City of Anaheim filed said request to annex
said territory, containing the specific boundaries of the terri-
tory to be annexed, with the Local Agency Formation Commission
and said Local Agency Formation Commission approved said annexa-
tion request of the City of Anaheim pursuant to Section 54797.1
of the Government Code.
That on the 14th day of October, 1970, the Local Agency
Formation Commission duly adopted Resolution No. 70-156 in which
said Commission authorized the City of Anaheim to annex said
territory in accordance with Section 54797.1 of the Government
Code and further approved such annexation of said territory with-
out notice or hearing.
That the Local Agency Formation Commission, further,
by resolution, authorized the City Council of the City of Anaheim
to annex said territory without notice or hearing by the City
Council and without the requirement that an election be held by
the City on the question of said annexation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the annexation of the terri-
torv included within the boundaries of the ESPERANZA - CARRILLO
ANNEXATION, more particularly described as follows, to wit:

Beginning at the Southeasterly corner of that certain
annexation to the City of Anaheim entitled "Esperanza-
Roth"; thence, along the Easterly line of said annex-
ation being also the Easterly line of the land described
in the deed to Samuel Kraemer recorded September 18,
1915 in Book 270, Page 7 of Deeds, Records of Orange
County, N. 10 31' 44" E., 2214.53 feet to the non-tangent
intersection with a curve in the Southerlv line of the
Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad Company right of
way, 100.00 feet in width, being concave Southeasterly
and having a radius of 3769.83 feet, said 100.00 foot
strip being shown on Orange County Surveyor's File Map
No. 3369, said Southerly line being parallel with and
120.00 feet Southerly from the center line of Esperanza
Road as monumented and noted in Orange County Surveyor's
Transit Book 105, Pages 17 through 20, a radial line of
said curve to said point bears N. 480 35' 52" W.; thence
Northeasterly along said curve and Southerly line through
a central angle of 420 45' 3311 an arc dist.ance of 2813.38
feeti thence tangent to said curve and continuing along
said Southerly line N. 840 09' 41" E., 1131.92 feet to
a tangent curve concave Northerly and having a radius of
2914.93 feet; thence Easterly along said curve and said
Southerly line through a central angle of 12.0 27' 00" an
arc distance of 633.40 feet to the tangent intersection
with a course in said Southerly line shown as having a
bearing of N. 710 04' 33!1 E. on a map filed in Book 37,
Page 33 of Record of Survey, Records of said County;
thence along said course ~1. 710 42' 4111 E., 1508.91 feet
to the Easterly line of the property described in Parcel
1 of a deed to Virginia Richards recorded September 28,
1960, in Book 5438, Page 79 of Official Records of said
County, said Easterly line being shown on said Record of
Survey; thence along said Easterly line S. 60 40' 31.3"
E., 1286.89 feet to the Southeast corner of said Richards
property; thence along the Southerly line of said
Richards property S. 620 23' 49" W., 1239.37 feet to an
intersection with a line shown as having a bearing of
N. 290 22' DO" W., and a length of 126.53 feet on Orange
County Surveyor's File Map No. 9870, sheet file number
l8907-C; thence along said line N. 290 22' 00" W., 126.53
feet to a non-tangent intersection with a curve, concave
Southeasterly and having a radius of 10,220.00 feet as
shown on said File Map No. 9870, a radial line of said
curve to said point bears N. 190 44' 07" W.; thence
Southwesterly along said curve through a central angle
of go 37' 53u an arc distance of 1717.98 feet to a tan-
gent line as shown on said File Map No. 9870; thence
along said line S. 600 38' 00" W., 3430.26 feet to the
point of beginning.
is hereby approved and said territory is hereby annexed to and
incorporated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, and is hereby designated as the ESPERANZA - CARRILLO
ANNEXATION to the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the date of
the adoption of this Resolution and the filing of a certified copy
thereof with the Secretary of State of the State of California,
the annexation of the territory herein described shall be deemed
to be and shall be complete and thenceforth such annexed territory
shall be, to all intents and purposes, a part of the City of
Anaheim, and from and after the effective date of such annexation,
all property therein shall be subject to taxation equally with the
property within the City of Anaheim and shall be taxed to pay its

proportionate share of the existing indebtedness and liability of
said City of Anaheim contracted prior to or existing at the time
of such annexation pursuant to the written consent of the owners
of property in said annexed territory filed with the Clerk of the
City of Anaheim prior to the adoption of this Resolution.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 9th day of February, 1971.
