PC82-100 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMiSSION ADOPTING AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ADOPTION OF GENERAL PLAN AME~dDMENT N0. 176 - LAND USE ELEMENT WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt the Anaheim General Plan by Resolution No. 69R-644, shov~ing the general description and extent of land uses within the City and indicating the present belief of the Council as to possible future development and redevelopment of land within the City; and WHEREAS, pursuant to requests from the property owner for General Plan Amendment study, City staff prepared a General Plan Amendment for an irregularly- shaped parcel oF land having a land area of approximately 156 acres generally bounded on the north by Santa Ana Canyon Road, south by Texaco-Anaheim Hills, inc.'s property, east by the future extension of Weir Canyon Road, and west by property owned by Southern California Edison Company; and WHEREAS, the Planning Department deemed it appropriate, pursuant to the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act, to prepare Environmental impact Report No. 256, in connection with the General Plan Amendment for the area under consideration; and WHEREAS, the Anatieim City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the Civic Center in the City of Anaheim on May 17, 1982, at 1:30 p.m., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Muncipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and against said Rmendment ~o the Anaheim General Plan and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and study made in its behalf and after cue consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said public hearing, DOES H~REBY FIND: 1. That evidence was presented which substantiates the need for an amendment to the Anaheim General Plan, and it is deemed appropriate that Exhibit A, as amended to show the park site relocated to the eastern side of Planning Area 2, be adopted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that previous environmental impact reports for the subject property have addressed envirenmental impacts associated with the Bauer Ranch Development Plan. Draft Environmental Impact Report No. 256 identifies no additBonal significant impacts that the proposed amendments to Areas 1, 2, 3 and 7 could have on the environment. Draft EIR No. 256 is in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act and with City and State EIR Guidelines and, therefore, the Planning Cortenission recommends to the City Council that Environmental Impact Report No. 256 be certified. PC82-100 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, pursuant-to the foregoing findings, the Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby adopt and recommend to the City Councit of Anaheim, adoption of General Plan Amendment No. 176, as fo?lows: 1. That Exhibit A, as amended, be adopted showing relocation of the park site to the eastern side of Planning Area No. 2.
