PC83-19 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMt~1ISSION THAT PETITION FOR RECLASSIF.ICATION N0. 82-83-18 BE DENIED WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commission did request a verified petition for Reclassification of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: "LOTS 7 THROUGH 12 IN TRACT NO. 304, BLOCK N0. 2, CITY OF ANAHEIM~ COUNTY OF ORANG~, CALIFORNIA". WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the Civic Center in the City of Anaheim on January 24, 1983 at 1:30 p.~., notice of said public hearing having been duly qiven as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.03, to hear and consider evidence for and against said proposed reclassification and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; ar.d WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and study made by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, does find and determine the folluwing facts: 1• That the petitioner proposes reclassi£ication of subject property from the RS-7200 (Residential, Single-Family)Zone to the RM-2q00 (Residential, Multiple-Family) Zone. Z• That the Anaheim General Plan designates subject property for medium-density residential land uses. 3• That the proposed reclassification is hereby denied on the basis that three of the property owners who had signed the letter requesting said reclassification withdrew their request at the public hearing an the basis rliat they had not understood the request as originally submitted. 4• That the proposed reclassification of subject property is not necessary and/or desirable £or the orderly and proper development of the community. 5• That the proposed reclassification of subject property does not properly relate to the zones and their permitted uses locally established in .;lose proximity to subject property and to the zones and their permitted uses generally established throu9hout the community. 6• That 11 persons indicated their presence at said public hearing in opposition; and that no correspondence was received in opposition to subject petition. #C442I PC83-19 '~•~. ~~+~~. ~NVIRONMENTAL INiPACT FINDING: That the Anaheim City Planning Commission has reviewed the proposal to reclassify subject property from the RS-7200 (Residential, Single-Family) Zone to the RM-2400 (Residential, Multiple-Family) Zone on a rectangularly-shaped parcel of land consisting of approximately 1.04 acres located on the north side of Narth Street between Claudina Street and Philadelphia Street, and further lescribe~i as 201, 207, 211, 215, 219 and 225 East t.orth Street; and does her,~y approve the Negative Declarati~n from the requirement to prepare an environmental inpact report on the basis that there w~uld be no significant individual or cumulative adverse environmental impact due to the approval of this Negative Declaration eince the Anaheim General Plan designates the subject property for medium-density residential land uses commensurates with the proposal; that no sensitive environmental impacts are involved in the proposal; that the Initial Study submitted by the petitioner indicates no significant individual or cumulative adverse environmental impacts; and that the Negative Declaration substantiating the faregoing findings is on file in the City of Anaheim Planning Department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLJED that the Anaheim City Planning Co~mission does hereby deny Petition for Reclassification on the basis of the aforementioned sindings.
