A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CIiY PLANNING COMMISSION
ADOPTING AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF .ANAHEIM
ADOPTION OF GENERAL P.LAN AMENDMENT NO. 182 - LAND USE ELEMENT
:1fiEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tnaheim did adopt the
Anaheim General Plan by Resolution No. 69R-644, showing the general
description and extent of possible future development within the City and
indicating the present belie£ of the land within the City and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt the
Canyon Area Genera~ Plan on March 8, 1977 as the o£ficial guide for
development in tne Canyon Area; and
WfiEREAS, pursuant to a request from the property owner for a General
Plan Amendment study, City staff prepared a General Plan Amendment for an area
consisting of approximately 58 acres bounded on the north and west by the
Santa Ana River, south by the Riverside (91) Freeway, and east by Weir Canyon
Road.
WFIEREAS, the Planning Department deemed it appropriate, pursuant to
the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act, that subject
property is covered under Environmental Impact Report No. 230, previously
certified by the City Council on October 16, 1979; and
WHER~AS, the Anaheim City Planning Conunission did hold a public
hearing at the Anaheim Civic Center, Council Chamber, 200 South Anaheim
Boulevard, on February 23, 1983, at 1:30 p.m., nctice of said public hearing
ha~~ing been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the
provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for
and against said Amend~.~ent to the Anaheim General Plan, Land Use Element, and
to investigate and make findinas and recommendations in connec~ion therewith;
and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due consideration, inspection, and
investigat~on and study made by itself, and after due consideration of all
evidence and reports offered at said public hearing, DOES HEREBY FIND:
1. That evidence was presented which substantiates the need for an
amendment to the Anaheim General Plan, and it is deemed
appropriate that Exhibit A Amended be adopted.
?.. That no one indicated their presence in opposition to subject
request at the public hearing; and that no correspondence was
received in opposition to subjecL request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BEi IT RESOLVED that, pursuant to the foregoing
findings, the Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby adopt and recommend
to the City Council of the City of Anaheim adoption of General Plan Amendment
No. 182 - Land UsQ Element, Exhibit A Amended.
