A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
ADOPTING AND RECnMMENDING TO THE CITY COUN^_IL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AAOPTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN
DESIGNATED AS AMENDMENT N0. 184 - EXHIBIT "A"
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt the
Anaheim General Plan by Resolution No. 69R-694, showing the general
description and extent of possible future development within the City; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to a request from the property owner for a General
Plan Amendment study, City staff prepared a General Plan Amendment for an area
consisting of approximately 18.6 acres located on the west side oE Knott
Street approximately 655 feet south of the centerline of Ball Road; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Planning Departmen~ deemed it appropriate,
pursuant to the provisions of the California ~nvironmental Quality Act, that
Environmental Impact Report No. 247 which was certified by the City Council on
December 8, 1981, adequately addressed this alternative; and
WHEREAS, the 1.~~aheim City Planning Commission did hold a public
hearing at the Anaheim Civic Center, Counc?1 Chamber, 200 South Anaheim
Boulevard on t4arch 21, 1983, at 1:30 p.m., notice of said public hearing
having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the
provisions of Ehe Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for
and against said Amendment to the Anaheim General Plan, Land Use Element, and
to investigate and make findi.ngs and recomrnendations in connection therewith;
and subject petition having been continued to the meeting of April 4, 1983; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commission, after due
consideration, inspection, investigation and study made by itself, and after
due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said public hearing,
DQES HEREBY FIND:
1. That eight (8) persons indicated their presence in opposition
to subject request at the March 21, 1983 public hearing; and
that no one indicated their presence in opposition to e~bject
request at the April 4, 1983, public hearing; and that no
correspondence was received in opposition to subject request.
Z. That evidence was presented which substantiates the need for an
amendment to the Land Use Element of the Anaheim General Plan,
and it is deemed appropriate ;hat "~xhibit A" be adopted,
designating the entire study area for Medium Density
Residential land uses.
NOW THEREFORE BE ZT RESOLVED that, pursuant to the foregoing
£indings, the Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby adopt and recommend
to the City Counc.il of the City of Anaheim adoption of General Plan Amendment
No. .184 - Land Use Element, Exhibit "A".
