PC65-57 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COh1MISSION ADOPTING AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNC:L ADOPTION OF GF.NERAL PLAN AMENDMENT N0. 199 - f,'ND USE ELEMENi WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt the Anaheim General Plan by Resolution No, 69P.-644 showiny the general description and extent of possible future developnent within the City; and WHEkEAS, pursuant to a request from a property owner aRd from the City of Anahe.im for a Ceneral Flan Amendment Study, City staff prepared a General Plan Amendmenr_ Eor an acea consisting of approsimately 5.3 acres located on the south side nf Vermont Avenue between Narbor Boulevard and Lemon Street; and tiie provisions Sof Tthe PCalifo~n aepEnviromm ~tal d it appcopriate, pursuant to the proposal and Initial Study and findin Quality Act, after review of impact, that a Negative Declaration be approved; a a significant environmental WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commission did hcld ~ public hearing at the Anaheim Civic Center, Council Chamber, 200 South Anaheim Boulevard, on February z0, 1985, at 1:30 p.m., notice of said public hearing having been duly g:ven as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anal,eim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and against said A;nendment to the Anaheim General Plan and to investigate and make finding~ and recor,u~endation in connection therew•ith; and WHEREAS, s~id Commis~ion, after due ,onsideration, in~pection, investigation and study made b}• itself, and after due consideration of all evidence and repor~s offered at said hearinq, DOES HEREBY FIND: 1• That ~uff_cient evidence was presented to substantiate the need for an amendment to the Land Use Element nE rhA rrahei,^., Genecai p~~n `~ =~=~ ~~~~~C, ana it is deemed a adopted. This designates the study areap for eGeneralxCommercial and Medium Density Residential land uses. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEll that the Ana!ieir~ City Planning Commission has reviewed the proposal to amend the General Plan designation to consider alternate proposals of ultimate land uses including, but not limited to low-medium density, medium density residential and general comrnercial designations on a rectangularly-shaped parcel of land consisting pF approximately 5.3 acces located on the south side of Vermunt Avenue between Harbor Boulevard and Lemon Street; and does heteby approve the Negative Declaration upon finding that it has considered the Negative Declaration together with any comments received during the public review ptocess and further finding on the basis of the initial c.tudy and any comments teceived thac there is no substantial evidence that the pcoject will have a significant eEfect on the environment. i0457r PC85-57 BE IT PURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to the foregoing findings, the Anahein City Planning Commission does hereby adopt and recommend to !•.he City Counci.l of the City of Anaheim adoption of General Plan Amendment No. 199 - Exhibit A.
