WHEREAS, tha CiCy Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt the
Anaheim General plan by Resolution No. 69R-644, showinq L•he general
descxipL•ion and e};tent oi possible future devs~opm~nt within the City; t~nd
WHEREAS, pursuant tu Citp-~Tnitiat~cl am«nr~ment to ~he Land Use
Elementi of tYie General Plan, staff prepared a Genoral Plan Amendment for the
arsa consisting of approximately 13,% gro~s acres located soutt-i of Centor
SL•reet, w~st of Wast Street, north ot Broadway arld east of the Santa Ana
Freewa~.
WHEItEAS, L•ho Planning Departm~nt doemad a.t appropriate, pursuant t~
L-hs provi;,ions of the CaZifornia Environrrental Quality Act, that therc~ aru no
significant onviror~niental impar.t,s and recommended that a. Negativa Peclaration
be approved; and
WF~IEREAS, the Anaheim City Plailnxx-g Commis~ioxi did hold a publi,c
hearing at the Anaheim Civic Center, Council Crlamber, 200 Sot~th Anahoim
Boulevard, on February 29, 1988, al 1:30 p.m., notice of• said public hearing
having beQn duly ~iven as roquirQd by 1aw and in accorriance wi~h the
provisions of the Anaheim Muncipal Code, to hear and r.onsider evifl~nce for and
against said General Plan ?vnendmQnt and to inv~stigate and makp Pindings and
