A RESOLUTION OF THE PIANNINC CAMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AEPOR7ING ON AND FiECOMMENDING
ADOPTION OF THE r~EDEVELOPMEN7 PLAN FOR THE
BROOKHURST COMMERCIAL CORRIDOR
REpEVELOPMENT PROJECT
VJH~REAS, the Planning Commisalon of the City af Anahelm haa formulated and
adopted a Preliminary Plan ter the proposed Brookhurst Commerclal Cc~rrldar Redevelopment
Pro)ect and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Communiry Redevelopment Commfsslon ~repared and
submitted to the Planning Commisalon a proposed Redevolopment Plan for the Brookhuret
Commerclal Corridor Redevelopment Pro~ect; and
WHEREAS, the Anahaim Communfty Redevelopment Commission at its reflular moetlny~
ot Novemtser 1Q, 1993, consldered and approved contorming revlalons to tha Redevelopmont
Plan Map; and
WHEREAS, Section 3334G of the Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety
Code, Sectiun 33000 et seq.) provides that the Planning Commfsslon is to review the proposed
Redevelopment Plan and make fts report snd recommendetion thereon to the Comrnunity
Redevelopment Commission and the City Council, including a determinatlon that the
Redevelopment Plan conforms to the General Plen of thA Cfty of Anahelm; and
WHEREA8, Section 85402 of the Gnvernmont Cocte provides in pan:
(a) !f a general plan or part theroai has been adopted, no real proporty ahall be acquired by
dedicatlon or otherwfse tor street, square, perk or other public purposes, and no real property
shall be dfsposed of, no street ahall be vacated or abandoned, and no publfc buildlnp or
structure shall be constructed or authorized, K the adopted general plan or peR thereof applies
theroto, unt(I the location, purpose and oxtent of such acqulsitlun nr disposftfon, such street
vacat(on or abandonment, or such publlc buliding or structure have been submitted to end
reported upon by the planning agency es to conformlry with aeld adopted general plen or paK

(c) A local agency shall not ~re ~eel property tor any of the purposes speaiffed In
paragraph (a) nor dlspose of a~ ai property, nor construct or autho~ize a public bulldfnp or
structure, In any county or ciry, ~~ such county or city has adopted e general plan or pan thereof,
untll the location, purpose and extent of such ncqulsftlon, dlsposition, or such public bulld(ng or
stnicture have been submitted to and reported upon by tho planning ayency havinp Jurisdiction,
as to conformfty with sald adopted ganerei plan or part thereof...,and
WHEREAS, tho above required roports and recommendatfons, includ(np matters referred
to (n Section 33348 of the Health arvJ Safety Code end Section 85402 of the Government Code,
are to be made to the Redevelopment Agency end the CRy Council tor thefr consideratlon in
actinfl on the a~loptton of the RedevelopmeM Plan; end
WFiEREA3, the Plannin~ Commirslon has considered the propoged Redevelopment
Plan, includinp the Draft Env(ronmarrtal Impact RepoR, and the General F~lan of the C(ry and
other pertfnent reports and documents. '

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOWED by the Pianning Commisslon of the City of
AnAheisn, California, as fAllowa:
1. Flnd~n°s• The Planning Commisslon hereby flnds and determines that:
(a) Pursuent to Sectlon 33346 of the Communtty Redovolopment Law, the proposed
Redevelopment Plan for the Brookhurst Commeralal Conido- Redevelopment ProJect (attached
hereto as Attachment No. 1), as provi~usiy submitted to thfs Planning Commission and as
revisvd by the Anahefm Com~~unity Radevelopment Commission by actfan at (ts regular meeting
of November 10, 1993, relating to aoniorming revlslons to the Redevelopment Plan Mop,
conforms to the General Plan of the Cfry of AnAheim.
(b) PursuEnt to Section 85402 of the Government Code, with respect to public
activities which may be undertaken within the ProJect Area pursuant to the Redevelopmdnt Plan,
and that are reFerred to in said sectton, such actfvitles and ur~dertakings conform to the (3eneral
Plan of the City af Anahelm.
2. ,F~}~ort end ~tecommendetions. The Plann(ng Commtssion hereby reports to the
Anaheim Communlry RedevolopmAnt CommisFlon, RedevetopmAnt Agency and the CRy Council
of the City ot Anaheim the findinga referred to In Sectlon 1 herenf, and recommonds the
approval and adoptfon of seid Radevelopment Plan as submlKed by the Anehelm Community
Redevelopment Commiss(on. In the ovent that prior to its adoptlon of tho Redsvelopment Plan,
the City Council desires to make any further minor, technical, or claritying changes to the
Redeveloprnent Plan, the Planning Commisaion horeby tlnds and determfnes that any such
minor, technical, or clarftyfng changea neod not be reforred to it for fuRher report and
recommendation, and hereby wahrea its report and racommendatlon under Section 33347 of the
Community Redevelopment Law concerning any such change.
3. Jrap~ I. The Planning Commlasfon's Secretery ahall trensmit a copy of this
Resolutlon to the Anal~efm Communiry Redevelopment Commisston and the Clry Councll of the
City of Anaheim for cons(deratlon as paK of the Agency's Rsport to the Cfty Cour,cil pursuant to
Section 33352 of +he Cammuniry Redevelopment Law, and this Resolution ahall be deamed the
report and recommendatipns of the Plannlnfl Commisslon conceming tho proposed
Redevolopment Plan an~ contemplated public proJects and aciivkies thereunder, as requlred by
applicablo provisions of law.
