COMMISSION INITIATINU PROCESSING OF
GENERAL PLAN AMENUMENT NO. 334 AND SPECIFIC F'LAN N0. 9A-1
WHEREAS, ttie City of Anah~im ("City") Initfdted planning eHorts In 1990 for tho development and
onhancer,~ent of lhe area known as tho "Northeast Canyon Industrial Area"; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide a lonc~ range comprehansivo plan tor luture development fn the
Nurtlieast Aroa, City staff subsequently began work (n 1992 on the Draft Northeast Area Spocifl~ °lan and In 7993
on the Draft EIA; and
WHEREAS, the Plannfng Commisslon of the City of Anahaim is authorized to initiate applicatlons for
rRVlew of general pl.an amendments an~ specftic plans and deslres to initiata General Plan Amenclment No. 33b
and the speciHc plan process for the Northeast Area Specific Plan IVo. 94•1 to determino whetht~r approval ol tho
proposecl general plan amendment and Northeast P:rea Speci(ic Plan woutci bo fn the oublic intorest and would
s~~rvu the purposes ot fmplomanting the Genoral Plan and enabling orderly development of s~ch Area; nnd
NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Comndsston of the City of Anahe(m hereby resolves as follows:

Tha Planning Commissfon horeby initiates applicat(ons for venera- Plan Amendment N~. 334 and the
Northeast Area Specific Plan No. 94-1 (or the purpose of presenting the General Plan Am~ndment arxf SpecNlc
Plan tor study and consider2tfon at a public hearing.
SECTION 2.
Without Iimiting any r(ghts the c;ity may liavct uncter applicnble law, thts City resGrves Ihe right to
approve or deny General Plan Amendment Nu. 33A and th~ Northeast Area Specilic Plan No. 94•1.
