p RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEiM PLANNING COMMISSION SELECTING AND
DESIGNATING BOUNDARIF.S OF AN AMENDED REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA,
APPROVING AND ADOPTING A PRELIMINARY PLAN FORMULATED FOR THE

REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 33310 of the Califomia Health and Safery Code, the Anaheim City
Council (the "Ciry Council") on May 6, 1997, designated u redevelopment survey area in tlie westem portion
of the City (the "Original Susvey Area"); and
WHEREAS, on October 28, 1997, the City Council did amend the boundaries of Qriginal Survey Area
(as amended, the "Survey Area"); and,
WHEREAS, the City Council, on May 6, 1997, and again on October 28, 1997, directed the Planning
Commission of the City of Anaheim (the "Planning Commission") to select boundaries for a redevelopment
proj~e~ulate a pr lim nary Plan for`the rede elopment of the select d area (the "I'relim ary P an"); and~ and

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the RedevelopmentPlan for the Brookhurst Commercial Corridor
Redevelopment Project (the "Brookhurst Redevelopment Plan") on December7, 1993, by Ordinance No. 5412;
and
WI-yEREpS, the Srookhurst Redevelopment Plan was amended by the City Council on December 13,
1994, by Ordinance No. 5466; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission desires to select and designate the boundaries of the amended
redevelopment project area (the "Amendment Area") and approee and adopt the Preliminary Plan, wnich would
(i) add the Amendment Area to the Brookhurst Redevelopment Commercial Conidor Redevelopment Project
and (ii) amend the name of tha Brookhurst Commercial Corridor Redevelopment Project to the "West Anaheim
Redevelopment Project."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED by the Planning Commission that;
Section 1. The Planring Commission selects and designates the boundaries of the Amendment
Area as the area described and depicted on maps in the Preliminary Plan, which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein as Exhibit "A."
Section 2. The PlunninS Commission hereby approves and adopts the Preliminary Plan
formulated for the designated Amendment Area, and directs staff to submit the Preliminary Plan to the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was adopted at tY,c Planning Commission meeting of
