Resolution-PC 97-61~ ~ RESOLUTION NO. PC97~1 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION ADOPTING AND RECOMMENDING TU THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPTIQN OF GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT N0. 345 PERTAINING TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT WHEREAS, the Ciry Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt the Anaheim General Plan by Resolution No. 69R-644, showing the general descripUon and extent of possible future development witt:in the Ciry; and WHEREAS, Plan~ing Comm(ssion directed staff to inki2te an amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan to redesignate certain properry located norch of Gramercy Avenue between Brookhurst Street and Valley Street, from the Generai Industrial land use designatfon to the General Commercial land use designation; and WHEREAS, the Anaheim Ciry Planning Commission did hdd a pubifc hearing at the Anaheim Civic Center, Councll Chamber, 200 South Anahefm Boulevard, on May 12,1997, at 1:30 p.m., notlce of said public hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance wfth the provi~lons of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence f~r and against sakl General Plan Amendment and to investigate and make flndings and recommendations in connection therewith; and WHEREAS, said Commission, after due consfderation, inspection, investigation and study made by ftself, and after due consideration of all evldence and reports offered at said hearing, DOES HEREBY F!ND: 1. That the evidence presented subs2antiates the need for an amendment to the Anahein General Plan and that, therefore, Exhibit A should be adopted redesignating subject area for General Cornmercfal land uses. c'ALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL ~UALITY ACT FINDING: That the Anaheim Ciry Planning Commission has reviewed the proposal to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan to change the cunent land use dQSignations from Generai Industrial to General Commercial on an a rectang~larly-shaped parcel of land located on the north side of Gramercy Avenue between Brookhurst Street and Valley Street, having frontages of 740 feet on the north s(de of Gramercy Avenue, 520 feet on the east sfde of Brookhurst Street and 620 feet on the west sfde of Valley, and further described as 714 North Brookhurst Street; and does hereby find that the previously certffied EIR No. 319 is adequate to serve as the required environmental documentation. NOW, THE~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the above flndfngs, the Anaheim Chy Planning Commission dces hereby adopt and recommend to the City Council of the Ctry of Anaheim adoption of General Plan Amendment No. 345 pertaining to the Land Use Element, Exhibft A, to redesfgnate subJect properry from the General Industrial tand use designation to the General Commerct~l land use des(gnation.
