PCJ7-83 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSIGN ADOPTING AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCiL ADOPTION OF GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT N0. 348 PERTAINING TO TFiE LAND USE ELEMENT WHEREAS, the Ciry Council of the Ciry of Anaheim did adopt the Anaheim General Plan by Resoiution No. 69R~44, showing the general description and extent of possible future development within the City; and WHEREAS, Plarning Commission directed staf# tftom~ theaexistinndLowtMed(um De sity Element of the General Plan to redesignate subjecc property 9 Residential land use designat!on to the General Commercial land use designation on an irregulariy-shaped 5.25-acre property which has a ftontage of 660 feet on the north ~ide of Ball Road and is located 300 feet east of the centerline of State College Boulevard (2035-2145 East Ball Road); WHEREAS, on February 7, 1997, the Planning Commission initiated this general plan amendment as a Communiry Planning Program action item ior the East Anaheim Planning Area; and that the Cfry Council subsequonUy approved said Action Pla:~ on February 25, 1997. WHEREAS, subject property is currenUy developed wfth an office building and a commercial center on a 5.52-acre sfte in the CL (Commercial, Limfted) Zone; and WHEREAS, this general Filan amendment is consistent with the underlying use and zoning of subject property. WHEREAS, the Anaheim Ciry Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the Anaheim Civic Center, Council Chamber, 200 South Anahefm Boulevard, on June 23,1997, at 1:30 p.m., notice of said public hearing having been duly gfven a.s required by law and in accordance witn the provisions of the Anahe(m Municipal CaJe, to hear and conslder evidence for and against said General Plan Amendment and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and NJHEREAS, said Commission, after due consideration, inspection, investigation and study made by itself, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, DOES HEREBY FIND: . 1. That the evidence presented substantiates the need for an amendment to the Anaheim General Plan and that, therefore, Exh(bft A should 5e adopted redesignating subject area for land uses. CALIFORNIA ENViRONMENTAL QUALIN ACT FINDING: That the Anahefm C'tty Planning Commission has reviewed the proposa~ to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan to change the current land use designations from the exist(ng Low Med(um Dens'tty Residential land us~n h has a fro ~ahe General Commercial land use designation, on an irregula~ly-shaped 5.25-acre propercy 9 of 660 feet on the north side of Bail Road and is located 300 fPet east of the centerline of State College Boulevard (2035-2145 East Ball Road); and does hereby approve the Negative Declaration upon finding ~hat It has considered the Negative Declaration together wfth any comments received during the public rv,•~iew process and further finding on the basis of the initial study and any comments received that there is no evidence that the project will h~ve a s(gnificant etfect on the environment.
