,4MENDING CERTAIN COfvDITIONS OF APP.ROVAL OF
RE::~LUTiON NO. 69R-54 ADOPTED IN CONNECTlOAJ WITH
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 1081
WHEREAS, on Sanuary 28, 1969, the City Council adopted Pesolution No. 69R-54,
approving Conditionai Use Perrnit ~~c, 10R1 tA establish a 245•unit molel at 336Q West Linc:,ln Avenue;
and
WHEREAS, this property is ee~ielope~i tv;iti €~ mote~ (EI Durado inn) and is zoned CL
(Commercial, Limited); that the Anaheim Generai Plan ~:csi~nates this property for General Commercial
and fvledium Density Resider,tial land uses; tha9 t; ie ~~n~p~fii is located within the boundaries of the West
Anaheim Commercial Cor:ider Ftedevrlopme,~t 4re~; ~nd that this property is located in ~ommunity

WHEREA.S, L'':Q petitioner P!;,s proposed amending the conditions of approvai of Resolution
No. 69R-54 by the addition of certain conditions pertaining to motel operations in order to clarify room
rental procedures and to improve motel r,perations; and ~ _
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the Civic Center ir
the City of Anaheim or :\ugust 3, 1998, at 1:30 p.m., notice of said public hearing tiaving been duly given
as required by Iaw and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.03,
to hear and consider evidence for and against said proposed amendmP^; and to investigate and make
findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and that said pubiic hearing was continued from
the June 22 and July 6, 1998, Planning Commission meetings; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and study made by itself
and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evicence and reports offered at said hearin~, does find
and determine the following facts:
1. That the petitioner withdrew the proposal io add certain new conditions of motei operations.
2. That modification, consisting of the imposition of an additional condition, is reasonably
necessary to protect the public peace, health, safety and general welfare, and necessary to permit
reasonable operation under the conditional use permit as originally granted.
3. That rao one indicated their presence at the public hearing in opposition; and that no
correspondence was received in opposition to the subject proposal.
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT FINDING: That the proposed project falls
within the definition of Categorical Exemptions, Class 1, as defined in the State Environmental Impact
~ Report (EIR) Guidelines and is, therefore, categorically exempt from the requirements to prepare an EIR.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby
amend Resolution No. 69P,-54, adopted in connection with Conditional Use Permit No. 1081, by adding
the following new condition:
10. That lhe owner/manager shall maintain a complete guest registry or guest card system
wnich shall include the full name, address, date of birth, and verified driver's license or legal
identification for each guest. The vehicle registration numbers, date of registration, length of
stay and room rates fer all registered guests shall be made available upon demand by any
police officer, code enforcement officer or license inspector of the City of Anaheim.
