PC98-52 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMI.^~SION ADOPTING AM~ RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL ADOP710N OF GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 352 PERTAINING TO THE LAND USE ELEtv1ENT WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt the Anaheim General Plan by Resolution No. 69R-644, showing the general description and extent of possible future deveiopment within the Ciry; and WHEREAS, Planning Commission directed staff to initiate an amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan to redesignate this property t6.3 acres located on the east side of Brookhurst Street, 216 feet south of the centerline of Lincoin Avenue) from the current General Commercial and Low Density Residential land use designations to the Low-Medium Density Residential land use designafion; WHEi2EAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the Anaheirh Civic Center, Council Chamber, 2~0 South Anaheim Boulevard, on April 13, 1998, at 1:30 p.m., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipai Code, to hear and consider evidence for and against said General Plan Amendment and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and WHEREAS, said Commission, after due consideration, inspection, investigation and study made by itself, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, DOES HEREBY FIND: 1. That the evidence presented substantiates the need for an amendment to the Anaheim General Plan and that, therefore, Exhibit A shouid be adopted redesignating subject area for land uses. 2. 7hat one concerned persan spoke at the public hearing. CALIFGRNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT FINDING: That the Anaheim City Planning Commission has reviewed the praposal to amend the Land Use Element of the General Pian to redesignate this property from the current General Commercial and Low Density Residential land use designations to the Low-Medium Density Residential land use designation on a 6.3 acre parcel having frontage of 450 feet on the east side of Brookhurst Street, with maximum depth of 605 feet, and being located 216 feet south of the centerline of Lincoln Avenue (112-218 South Brookhurst Street); and does hereby approve thc~ Negative Declaration upon finding that it has considered the Negative 17eclaration together with any comments received during the public review process and further finding on the basis of the initial study and any comments received that there is no evidence that the project will have a significant effect on the enviranment. NOVV, `fHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the above findings, the Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby adopt and recommend to the Ciry Council of the City of Anaheim adoption of General Plan Amendment No. 352 pertaining to the Land Use Element, Exhibit A, to redesignate the study area from the General Commercial and Low Density Residential land use designations to Low-Medium Density Residential land use designation.
