A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
CHANGING AND REAFFIRMiNG THE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA
BOUNDARIES CONTAINED IN THE PRELIMINARY PLAN FORMUL4TED
FOR REDEVELOPMENT OF THE PROPOSED WEST ANAHEIM
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA AMENDMENT
WHEREAS, proceedings have been initiated by the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency
(the "Agency") for the amendment of the Brookhurst Commerciai Corridor Redevelopment
Project Area to include additional territory in West Anaheim (the "Amendment Area"); and
WHEREAS, at the request of the Agency, the Planning Commission of !he City of
Anaheim (the "Planning Commission") selected the Amendment Area and approved a
Preliminary Plan therefor by Resolution No. 157 on November 10, 1997; and
WhiEREAS, pursuant to Section 33326 of the California Health and Safety Code (the
"CH&SC"), the Planning Commission may change the boundaries of the Amendment Area prior
to the publication of any notice of the Agency public hearing on the Redevelopment Plan for the
Amendment Area (th~ "Redevelopment Plan"); and
WHEREAS, public notification oP the public hearinc~ on the Redevelopment Plar. has not
yet been published; and
WHEREAS, a request for inclusion of additiona! territory in the Amendment Area (the
"Inclusion Area") has been received from a property owner in West Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, said Inclusion Area is urbanized pursuant to Section 33320.1 of the CH&SC,
and otherwise appears to meet the requirements of Seations 33030 and 33031 of the CH&SC for
inclusion in the Amendment Area; and
WHEREAS, the Inclusion Area lies within the redevelopment survey area adopted by the
Anaheim City Council on January 6, 19U8, by Resolution No. 98R-1; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission desires io expand the Amendment Area to
encompass the Inclusian Area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission that:
Section 1: The Planning Commission hereby changes the boundaries of the
Amendment Area, as described in the Preliminary Plan which was adopted by Resolution No.
157 on November 10, 1997, to add the Inclusion Area.
Section 2: The Planning Commission hereby designates the boundaries of the
Amendment Area as the area depicted on Er.hibit 'A', which is attached hereto and incorporated
herein.
Section 3: The Planning Commission hereby directs staff to submit an executed
copy of this Resolution to the Ac~ency, as prescribed in Section 33326 of the CH&SC.
